Yes, he's a bookie, and a gambler. He says it's a home-court league and the teams are very imbalanced therefore easy to pick winners if you follow.
I guess if you are going to gamble, picking a niche sport is a good idea? I don't know, my only gambling is done riding bareback in Tijuana.
