jimmy hanlin plugs tcf on wknr

anybody listen to wknr this morning??? greg brinda had jimmy hanlin on talking about the tcf golf outing and hanlin was waxing poetic very well about the website, giving a nice big plug for swerb and everything that goes on here. i must say that i was very impressed. it was very classy on hanlin's part.

what wasn't so classy though was how brinda reacted to it of course as he acted like a complete mainstream media boob about it, denying that he wasn't aware of the website, never even heard of it, didn't know that it existed, yada-yada-yada when you could tell full well that he certainly did know about it as you could tell from the tone of his voice inflection that he was probably cringing in his seat, biting his tongue, gritting his teeth and silently spewing curse words at hanlin for basically just giving a free plug to an outlet that is far superior in content to his little radio gig.

he even went so far to actually look it up on online and stated that he couldn't find it, but jimmy pulled it up on his computer lickety-split and when brinda compared notes, he stated "oh, you have to use 'the' cleveland fan dot com" and he sounded very condescending when he said it too.

i don't know but am i just being thin-skinned about this???

Hanlin is a great guy and has been a fan of the site from just about day one. His golf properties are first class, from the courses to the people that work there.

yeah, i think he pulled a mark shapiro and got promoted upstairs for his ineptness. if i'm not mistaken, i think he's wknr's sports director now and just fills in every now and again whenever somebody is sick or on vacation.
