How do you rank em?

Unread postby Ziner » Tue Aug 10, 2010 11:15 am

I think the top 4 are no brainers, the order not necessarily

Chris Johnson
AP
Rice
MJD

And now it gets tough. I am really contemplating this. Lets find a consensus

If it were me, I would go with the surest thing in slot 5.

Brees

Then I probably go

Andre Johnson

Then I get pissed because I have to decide between

SJax, Gore and Turner

Probably rounding out my top 12 with

Mendenhall, DeAngelo Williams and Aaron Rodgers.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Wow, is Mendenhall a first rounder?

(I'm not saying he isn't, I'm just surprised is all.)

IMO it comes from him being one of the few backs out there to get a huge chunk of the carries. He was fairly solid the last half of the year last year too. He went for 1100 yards and 7 TDs rushing and 25 catches for 261 and a TD receiving after only touching the ball 8 times the first 3 games.

Starting RB on a run-first team without a solid backup means 1st rounder this year. Ryan Matthews is a borderline 1st-rounder this year and he's never even carried the ball in the NFL.

Fairly certain, Matthews has already been awarded ROTY?

Yeah, only question now is when he tests positive for PED's (or training too hard) and whether he can retain the award after a recount.

and of course... in my biggest (most expensive) league I get pick number 5. I knew that was coming. I already said I would probably take Brees, but the more I look at it, I just don't think i can justify that. I can get a sure QB in the 2nd round or even later....

Andre Johnson? Gore? Turner?

Z, what are they saying about Moreno out there? I think he's poised to have a huge year.

Not a whole lot right now. I think he is out until close to week 1. I can see him having a solid year, but both TC's he has been a part of he has missed time. Besides it is hard to have time to talk about Moreno when there is a certain 3rd string (soon to be 2nd string) QB on the roster.
