Might as well cozy up to whatever feed you can and get a glimpse at some of your new Cleveland Cavaliers in Summer League action. Seems like the Cavs have 2-3 roster spots open, and if they go "blow-it-up", some of these guys may make the squad.

They had a nice interview with both Windy and Byron Scott. In summary Windy: team will probably be blown up, Cavs have interest in Atlanta's Marvin Williams; Scott: Think we can be competitive, rahre rah, playing Jamo as sixth-man.

Hickson, Danny, and Eyenga are all playing well in the game.

Some things I've seen:

Hickson: His jumper looks better. Still has some work to do on it, but it's not a disaster. His hands are questionable at best. He's fumbled several passes. Otherwise, same old JJ.

Green: He's looked good tonight. His jumper has been solid, and he's been aggressive with it in his hands. That said, his passing has been meh.

Eyenga: Definitely athletic. His jumpshot needs adjustments. He's got to quicken it up, and his release seems a little off to me. Anyone else see that? Defensive fundamentals aren't there, but he's athletic enough to recover. Needs at least another year, probably two.

All this is based on one game, so take it FWIW.

My thoughts aren't much different than Stewie's, but I didn't like what I saw from Green. Sure he hustles and tries to play smart, but he just didn't pass the eye test. He had some trouble bringing the ball up when needed, agree that his passing wasn't so good, didn't display ability to finish, still looks like a rail.

Agree on Eyenga. If he is in the D-League, does that count as service time for free agency? I saw his numbers in Spain this year and he needs to get more minutes; the D-League would be perfect for him.

Was bothered by Hickson's trips to the line. As bad as 0-6 sounds, it looked worse.

Too bad Pooh Jeter wasn't a little bigger; he plays hard and scrappy and found ways to put the ball in the hole.

having a great summer after he went 9-12 in the first game too

Hickson displayed a deft scoring touch when he was allowed to play off the ball or with it last year. Didn't usually embarass himself in post ups.

His rotating on defense sucks, he has shit for hands, and doesn't know to pass. I'm not sure he will, and his man wont be leaving him constantly anymore.

I have hopes, but im being realistic. :)

Jeremy Lin showcasing his Harvard game vs. John Wall. Interesting, if only summer league...

Like the Lin stuff. Tonight we get our first shot at the Heat. Time to make a statement! :spanky:

Couple of my boys have been hyping Lin up all year. Went to more then a few Harvard games to check him out. Been swearing up and down he belongs on someone's bench (don't confuse that w/ him being John Wall) and it looks like he's going to get there.

This white guy the Cavs have at center is a waste of a roster spot. He has height but seemingly no appreciable skill set.
