There is no question that LBJ raised the interest in Cavs basketball for all of the NBA, but even moreso, for all of NEO. Attendance went way up, TV games, etc, etc.

But is LBJ really stupid enough to think that since that was so, that all of us NEO fans were actually fans of LBJ first, and Cavs second. Is he and his team of uneducated followers/hanger-oners/leaches/coat-tailer/advisors really stupid enough to think that since more people followed the Cavs since he joined them, that we would remain his fans if he left???... that we would really remain LBJ fans even after he bailed on us/ spat in our faces??? Could he really have believed that we would remain loyal LBJ fans just because we simply "loved him so much????"

Lets be clear, LBJ, we were Cavs fans first. We were huge LBJ fans because you were a Cav.

More fodder to make me think this was all planned ahead of time:

I am already planning on pushing an Ohio boycott of all products LeBron. Namely Nike shoes. Last spring, when discussing basketball shoes with an Ohio Nike rep, he told me Nike had pulled the plug on their being a Nike team dealer (selling shoes to high school and college teams). They had sold Nikes for years and all of a sudden they couldn't. Supposedly, Nike had pulled the plug on a number of area team dealers. And these guys were big sellers in Nikes. One of the biggest in Ohio. I didn't have any idea at the time why Nike would have pulled the plug on dealers who sold tons of their products. Nor did they.

The conspiracy theorist in me now wonders if they didn't know all this crap in advance and were already pulling back in NEO because they knew of the backlash that would occur when LeBron left.

I am going to check in again with this rep. Heck, if this information is true and these dealers get together, and contact the NBA, maybe then someone will smell a fish. Collusion? Pre-planned? Nike saying they didn't care where LBJ went?
