I just stopped going.

I know my dad, who still attends weekly, has cut his giving. Tough to pony up when your donation goes to legal fees and criminals.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Ditto both of the above

I used to get involved. Been on a Parish Council, usher, volunteer, yadda...

My wife has taught CCD, Confirmation and RCIA classes in addition to being a reader at Mass

Neither of us has been to church for even Chistmas or Easter for 7-8 yrs now

The only time I go is weddings and funerals...but I try not to miss any summer festivals that have gambling and auction off new Mustangs and Camaros like the churches here in Erie do...: )

The Catholic Church is one of the most corrupt (and as a result richest) institutions.

They've been exploiting people for money for centuries back to the days when they made people pay tithes to save them from demons and hell

"Religion, shit it"
"So, Culloden was really more of a local difficulty; it was Highland versus Lowland; it was like Celtic and Rangers. Catholic versus Protestant, essentially. It's that kind of fight. And it goes on to this day. Will we never learn? Who knows? Religion. Shit it."

Mormons wear magic underpants. And sometimes they all take naps on cots outside their temple. (at least they do at the Wilson Rd Mormon compound thing)

I'd be a Scientologits, cuz they must give you alot of LSD to believe in that bat shit crazy religion.

Cashed out long time ago. I guess it was tons of little things that never made sense.
The whole money to buy an annulment versus condemnation for a divorce bullcrap was the straw that broke the camel's back. How can you say for $500 bucks you were never married. It's always about the money. Want your kids baptised?...pay me. Want a funeral service ...pay me. Want a prayer for a dead relative...pay me.

I'm in a transition stage with my faith. After spending the first 18 years of my life in the Catholic school system I am a little embarrassed to say that., or at least disappointed.

The RC church isn't solely to blame for my change of heart but it is a significant part. From the scandals to the fact that one of the first things they ask a couple looking to get married in the church being "what is your income", it justt turns me off.

I see less and less need/reason for the church as a means of spiritual involvement anymore.

Not to mention the fact that the Bible was written by man, I mean really...

Criminals in this town used to believe in things...honor, respect.
