That band, in that venue ... I just want to go to sleep and wake up July 6th.

12 city tour in smaller venues. No big cities and no shows in Illinois

Corgan also plans on an invite only set during sound check that will be only new and unreleased songs. The group is trying to find a way to work the people standing outside to be included in these sets.

Yep. I bought 2 on the presale, just have to use a citi card, nothing else.

I guess they got tired of band shirt wearing stoners cluttering up the joint. They wanted to attract a better class of people.

I've probably seen 50+ concerts at that place. Everything from Robert Randolph to Immortal.

Probably won't go see the Pumpkins though, since they'll only play about half a set of stuf I wanna hear.

I saw them a couple years ago and it was terrible which is making me not sure if I want to go to this or not. When I saw them last they played only non "hits". Most the people there had no idea what was going on. The encore was 10 minutes of the whole band gathered around a mic, smiling, playing harmonicas, and singing some random horse shit.

Love the Pumpkins and the HOB though so I might go since Bizkit canceled on me. It will probably sell out in 10 minutes.

I saw the Pumpkins at the Agora back in '93 when Corgan actually had to comb his hair. Not at the top of my to-do list this time around. Would like to go but it's not a necessity.

Heard they cancelled their US tour because they didn't want to play ampitheatres. Too many seats up front and no open area to jump around and mosh.



Translation: We can't sell tickets and we suck.

Some people like Limp Bizkit, some people like that the Pumpkins encores of late have been Corgan playing the kazoo and singing about rainbows for 10 minutes. Opinions are like retards, they're special.

I'll probably get tickets because I love the Pumpkins but Billy isn't making my decision any easier with no other original members in the band, that weak EP they just put out, and of course that weird show they put on at the Playhouse a couple of years ago.

Word is oon Sirius Corgan said it'll be about 1/3rd hits, 1/3rd B side old stuff, 1/3rd new music. FWIW.

Thanks for the info. That sounds like a good formula for the set list. I was thinking about their last show at the Palace in 08 and I was being to harsh. It was a good show. I did enjoy myself.

It did rub a lot of people the wrong way though with them not playing a lot of their most popular songs and the whole kazoo encore was just uncomfortable.

...considering the Pumpkins' last tour a few years ago was filled with long and rambling sets filled with a bunch of songs nobody wanted to hear.

This show turned out pretty good. Billy Corrigan can flat out rock. He absolutely crushed Ava Adore.

Their new songs sounded really good live, which is a relief because if you download them online they're full of eastern psychadellic blah.

Billy has surrounded himself with very some very young musicians, the bassist by the way is smoking hot. At first they looked out of place with a 40+ year old Billy on stage, but musically they sounded really good.

It was a sold out show, full of fans, and Billy looked genuinely happy with the love he got from the crowd.

A big to the HOB though. The cheap f**ks didn't turn on the A/C. It must have been 100 degrees in there, and it killed a lot of the momentum in the show towards the end. It was hard to breathe.

Even now with my music snobbery I'd still like to see them at Reading Festival in August
