I'm a big Scott Arniel fan. He was an assistant a few years ago under Lindy Ruff and then had an extremely successful tenture with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. With Vancouver, Arniel never had a ton of top flight prospect talent in the farm system, but they are almost always near the top of the league in goals against and in the top ten in goals scored.
He may be their second choice, mostly because Boucher was the sexy pick, but Arniel's the right guy for this team. Boucher's styles rely on a lot of athleticism and skating ability and the Jackets don't have that. Arniel can play explosive offense, but he's very defensively responsible.
A good hiring for them and he should bring a lot of excitement prior to the draft and then subsequently in to the season.
