You could support a hockey team if they arrived and were really good from the get go. Otherwise the seats would be empty.

I cant see a hockey team working. If Cleveland was going to get hockey they needed to beat Columbus to the punch. With the the Bluejackets, Pens, and Red Wings I dont think there is a big local TV market for them. Even if they were good.
Herm, are you high? If LBJ goes it will take a minimum of 10 years to get back to where we are. If the Cavs even still exist

I'm sure the NHL would have rather had Cleveland than Columbus but there was a conflict of interest with Gund owning the Sharks when the talks first started going down correct?

TBO and Gilbert gets us back in the playoffs in three years, if that.

If just Bron was removed from the current roster, and the guys were forced to learn how to play understanding he was never coming back, I don't think we have a bad team. Miami was a 5 seed, I think we would be better then Wade and the stiffs surrounding him, then again what do I know...

It's impossible for me to really debate to the contrary with any gusto. I look at a roster with Shaq's corpse at the 5, Getting Older 'Twan, Some guy at 3, Parker/Moon/West, and Mo as... Huh, yeah check that, best we could go is probably 6th seed.
Of course if Bron leaves we only have 45ish million committed to 'Twan, Mo, Andy, Delonte, Boobie, Moon, Parker, and Hickson. Add 2.5 million to that when Telfair exercises his player option. 47.5 million and you are left somewhere near 10 million under the cap. What that buys you I am not sure? Of course you have to renounce Shaq to make that happen, but so many here think he is useless anyway as foolish as I think that take may be...

What is crazier is I think if we can find a way out of this series it could be a chance at a fresh start for a new series. Keeping Cockroft on the sidelines against the Raiders made more sense than this series.Cerebral_DownTime wrote:FUDU wrote:I know.

Call me crazy but i'm thinking the Cavs rally and pull this series out. I know it's fanish, but I got the feeling.
It might all be for naught, cuz I doubt they put up a fight vs Orlando

Getting the playoffs and having a team that is expected to compete for a title and has a realistic chance to win one are two different things.

My gut says they win tonight and blow game 7 in a more or less excruciating manner.
Then the drama show is on.
But that's me.

SD:
Can't speak for game seven , but I'll bet ya you won't find a dozen shots after the game of Lebron standing around playing with his pud while everybody else was battling as the networks all too gleefully highlighted all week.
Dude got to take the shot if we have any chance and be the old Lebron or this game is over by halftime .
Next year if Lebron stays .
You dump that useless clueless slug of a coach .
You dump Shack and Z and Mo and Jamieson salary install Telfair and Greene along with Moon and Parker as guards, outbid everybody else for the Predator in Toronto and run an up tempo offense and defense to five straight Championships .
