Boston has the best defender of Dewey Howard in the league in Kendrick Perkins. They will put up a stout resistance against Orlando.

We've lost our last two home games by a total of 50 points. Think that might be a nervous building Sunday?

F*** that building, frankly. I've never seen a more pathetic home crowd in the later rounds of a playoff series. The Canucks were getting destroyed by the Blackhawks tonight and their crowd was in it until late in the third period.
The Cavs can get up by 8 in the first half and you don't hear a peep from these a***holes.
We can cheer for the Browns when they're down 27-7 to San Diego but not for the team with the best record in the NBA when they're winning? F*** all of this cursed crap.

They're silent as the Cavs melt down in Game 5 because the Cavs actually have a chance to win a championship, and they've seen this flick way too many times before.
The Cleveland Fan will always ALWAYS be naturally wary until one of their teams actually DOESN'T justify their fear.
Until then... get used to nervous crowds for teams that are (supposedly) realistically "in the hunt".

They were sitting on their hands before the shit went south. The same as they did in Game 2. Providing no home court advantage whatsoever is one way to contribute to that title drought being extended by another year.
Again, fuck this "The Cleveland Fan" crap. I was born there, and like everybody else on here, haven't seen any of these teams win jack shit. Still, I don't know when we turned into ridiculous imitations of Boston whiners. We're not entitled to win anything, and it would be nice if the fans helped the teams out in the limited ways that they can. Getting off of their fat asses and cheering being chief among those ways.

They walked into that arena expecting the worse, and the Cavs showed them their panic was justified.

I know that the "Joes" are making a choice to act like grade A jackasses, and I wish that they wouldn't drag the rest of us down with them.
The Cavs have been chicken shit a hell of a lot more often than they've been chicken salad. As pathetic as last night was, it was still only the sixth time in 40 years that they've even reached the fifth game of a conference semifinal. Think about that.
Whether LeBron leaves at the end of this season or ten years from now, this is the golden era of Cavs basketball, and people should be savoring it and giving the team all they've got, not peeing in their fucking pants because Marty played prevent in January of '87.

And (unless you're over 50), the "Golden Era" of the Browns was The Drive and The Fumble. Not even one fukcing measly appearance in a Super Bowl.
The Tribe's "Golden Era" was the 90's, culminating in 2 World Series losses, one of which was more painful than gargling broken glass.

Sit on your couch or bar stool and rip the fans who were there...
The first sentence is so unbelieveable I don't know what to say?
Maybe turn up your TV volume if ya want to hear some cheering? IDK?
If you weren't at games 2 or 5 and didn't experience first hand, then STFU about the fans...No one turned on the team early and everybody was ready to go until the 3rd quarter massacre...

Boo fuckin' hoo dude.
Sorry that you feel you "deserve" a championship and it hasn't happened for you. Again, given this only the seventh time ever that they've even gotten this far, I have no idea why you would feel that way. You can call it whatever the fuck you want, but it remains the best period of sustained success in Cavs history.
And however the LeBron era plays out, you will be wishing for these days back when the Cavs are back in their David Stern approved Pacers-Bucks first round and out if you're lucky place.
And again, be pissed off because LeBron played like he had a bruised vagina in Game 5, and not because the Browns once drafted Mike Junkin. Step away from the Bill Simmons columns and Dan Shaughnessy books and get some perspective.

I never said it was the crowd's fault that the Cavs played like shit. And I don't think you can suggest that myself or others have not crapped all over their performance, either.
I just don't understand the point of going mute at the first sign of adversity, as the crowd appeared to do in Games 2 and 5. And it's great that these sorts of posts slay you, but you seem to keep having to defend the crowd to multiple posters on this board.
It appeared to a large number of people watching that y'all wussed out. Sorry. Whether you guys did or didn't, let me clarify for you that in my mind the Cavs themselves were far more embarrassing either way.

I see where you're coming from, but of course a) the Cavs haven't been eliminated yet and b) nothing will excuse their gutless and pathetic effort in Game 5. There's just no acceptable explanation for it.

I am simply stating for you the following:
1. The average Cleveland Fan is gunshy because his/her previous experience has always ended in disappointment. This is only natural.
2. While it is true that these Cavs are more pleasurable to watch than, say, the Shawn Kemp Cavs, to refer to these 4 or 5 years as a "Golden Era" shows that, to me, you are easily satisfied.
Do you think they'd call this a "Golden Era" in New York or Boston or LA? I'm a-guessin' no.
If you want to call it a "Golden Era" because it is good for Cleveland comparatively, then have at it. I just can't find it in my heart to start composing sonnets for a team that, ultimately, is a failure.

Whatever dude, I'm easily satisfied and you bitch and moan about championships you deserve. We're all flawed. My original point was simply that what we have now is better than what we've ever had and almost certainly better than we will ever have again as far as the Cavs are concerned. I think the biggest issue I have with this take is that you aren't taking into consideration the lack of effort.
I don't feel the same way as when we were down 3-2 in the ECF last year.
Even though we were equally as doomed.
I don't "deserve" a championship per say, but every invested fan does deserve effort. They deserve thier team caring, at least as much as professional atheletes can care.
So in short, I don't think a team that rolls over and quits is "better than its ever been" for cleveland sports fans.

The thing is game 3 is really the only game he has brought the real LeBron James to the party. Even game 1 & 2 he was lethargic, matter of fact that was the exact word used by 95% of the media the following day. It wasn't just last night, this series reeks of something going on somewhere, regardless of where, it ends up in that kids head come tip off.
