going into this series i was predicting that the cavs would win in 7, but now that the magic are pretty much doing what the cavs did last year against atlanta, i would just as soon see the cavs get it done in 5 now and the only way they can do that is to win today. duh!!! time to show your championship mettle today cavs!!! we can only hope. tip is at 3:30. go cavs!!!

Kind of expecting a real good game this afternoon. Can see Boston answering early and things being fairly tight come the 4th. IMO we should be able to continue getting them in foul trouble giving us the advantage heading down the stretch.

To continue a thought from peeker in game 3 thread about how us fans react to their losing game 2. It isn't so much about us losing (I think most expect 1 or 2 losses per series)as it was about how we lost and the lack of resemblance of the team that has played so well this year.

60% from the field will not happen again today though.

This will never get old despite Reggie Miller trying to ruin the moment, IMO of his top 3 dunks OAT.

The last couple of minutes have been weak. No longer aggressive, taking jump shots.

We've done well on defense for the most part. Stopping Rondo basically stops the rest of the C's, but the past couple of minutes we haven't been securing the rebound giving them second chance points.

Can Van Gundy ever talk about the game? Or anything besides himself?

Way too much dribbling by the Cavaliers in the longest first quarter ever.

Boston playing very well, I'll take a 9pt deficit if they are playing that well while we are playing poorly.

If this game is close down the stretch, it will be interesting to see how the old guys hold up in Q4. We haven't seen any game of this series come down to the final minute yet.

The final minute no, but the final 1/2 of the 4th., yes in game 1. Boston was in that game until the last 5-6 minutes, they were huffn & puffn a bit.

IMO we are weathering their storm right now. Just need to battle and get a few conversions and not turn it over.

ETA: West is playing like an asshole today, sit him down for awhile. No idea WTF he is trying to do. LeBron not even acknowledging Ray Allen talking, love it.

Love how they're getting aggressive on Offense. By the fourth, Bostons gonna have a ton of players in foul trouble.

Still cannot figure out why LeBron is allowing Ray Allen to slow him down, Ray is NOT good enough to cove LeBron anywhere inside an NBA arena. We get this to a two possession game at half I'll take it.

Understood, but LeBron is not forcing the issue to get around Ray. He can get around Ray any time he wants, then of course he has to deal with the crowd in the paint. For some strange reason he is not aggressive enough off the dribble v Ray. Ray Allen should be on the bench with 3-4 fouls if guarding LBJ.

Interested in seeing which Cavs team comes out in the 3rd?

The one who will be aggressive and go after Boston's foul troubles or last Monday's statues?

Also, which guards are hurtin em more today:

Rondo & Allen

or

Mo & Redz

Game shaping up to be decided by the volume of FTs, and if the C's keep up the foul trouble it could be LeBron v a bunch of nobodies to close out the game. Sounds good to me.
