Still having login issues

Unread postby rebelwithoutaclue » Fri Apr 23, 2010 7:02 pm

I'm still having login issues. I've got to login every time I want to post and if I'm logged in and just reading I get booted every few minutes. Also, I tried logging in a couple days ago and it wouldn't accept my password so I reset it and now I need to know how to change it.

Anyone else still having login problems? Even when the problems were board-wide they were never this bad for me until now.

I am too. I just posted about it in the MLB forum's thread. Same problem about having to log in every time. Nothing about having to change my password though.

Several things going on here gang. I just got going on the site here and boom.... a major flood here in an upstairs bathroom wiped out my 'computer-office' area below it.....I'm running a backup puter here, which sucks. I turned the 'leak' into insurance, so most of the time I'm waiting on their people.....had I done it myself, it would have been done already...

My first priority here was enabling everyone to get logged in first. I know I couldn't login at first either....I think that step has been accomplished.

I'm not happy yet with the length of the login cookie, and I'm certain I can speed the site up more also...

Trouble is, my computer with all the backups and programs I use is sitting under plastic and tarps..... :pb:

Funny thing is I have done some of the work to the room to help speed it up also...I'm scared how much longer it would have taken if I didn't...but the end is near...

Rebel, PM me your current password and what you wish it to be changed to...

This setup is really acting strange.....I think I found your problems gang.

Seems like all of you requested a new password????

For some reason, when it sent it, it cancelled all your permissions. (WTF?????????)

If you want an easier or new password, PM it to me....Be sure to make it clear what you want me to change it to....

You should all have your permissions restored, PM's bein one of them....

Never requested a new password. I haven't had any problems because I have refreshed the forums the last two days. I've just gone back to the forum, and then back to the thread to see new posts.

Hmmmm...your permissions were all cancelled.....To which I have reset.

I will keep an eye on this...let's hope it doesn't happen again, eh!

I noticed some other permission issues throughout the boards, which I also reset.....It's possible the new setup altered them.

Thanks ST.....the info helps point to the cure!

Let's just be glad it isn't herpes that you have to cure!
