I'll look into that book. Let me recommend you Naked Lunch by William S. Burroughs. He wrote it under the influence of some heavy drugs. That's the most difficult/weirdest book I've ever read. There's some interesting stuff in there though.

There is nothing wrong with smoking pot, at all. It's illegal because of stupid laws passed by stupid people. Legalize it, tax the shit out of it and finance the deficit.

I'd be willing to bet RJ Reynolds and Phillip Morris both have plans already drawn up to start producing joints the second it's legalized.

They do and I own plenty of stock in Altria(MO) and Phillip Morris International (PM) because of that chance. I think it is only a matter of time, and while I used to be very much against it due to the welfare state, I think the current of personal responsibility and accountability have eroded my opposition. The cat can always be put back in the bag should something silly happen...

At the very least Phillip Morris is in the best position to make money off legalization. The infrastructure is built, and ready to capatilize. Just don't make smoking weed some sort of disability or genetic defect, and nothing more then a personal choice you can either deal with or not, and I am cool as shit.

FTR never smoked the stuff. My expierence is that some can smoke and still be productive, and some can't. Like life in general. I just want to make money off the stuff, and taxing the shit outta it like CDT stated up thread is the way to go. Just use the proceeds to pay off the debt, not as a slush fund.
