Misunderstood song lyrics

You know how you can listn to songs and think you hear lyrics that make no sene, and yer wrong about the lyrics? Anyone got any good ones?

I was flipping Sirius around and landed on an oldies for a minute (I listen to anything) , and thought I heard the lyrics "the dog fuckin' died, the dog fuckin' died" in Mr Bojangles by the NG Dirt Band. Got me to thinking.

My fav I never understood has to be in Jack and Diane, where for years I thought mellonhead was singing, "Let the Taco Bell come and save my soullllowolll".

I once knew a girl who thought Rusted Root's Send me on my Way was really "Simeon the Whale".

"Big 'Ole Jed had a light on"...dont carry me too far away. It makes no sense but that's what he thought.

Now, the hell of it is that I had never heard that. I always had the lyric right. But now I can't NOT hear the "Big 'Ole Jed" lyric. I guarantee that if you think of this the next time you hear that song it will be ruined for you for all eternity.

At least it's Steve Miller and not anything important.

I have a couple from my youth that are oddball.

No idea why but that one Doobie Bros' song I always thought the guy was saying "whoaaaltz to the music" instead of "whoa-ooh-o, Listen to the music". Waltz to the Music? Now every time I hear that song I wonder what the frig I was thinking.

Also I never paid attention to the fact that the name of the song was "Rhiannon" and thought fleetwood mac/Stevie was saying something like "yeaaaaa---nooooo" during the "Rhiannon" lyric.

Acid Bath owns. The best metal band of all time. No surprise 99% of people haven't heard of them, 2 albums 3 years, then breaking up after their bassist and his folks died in a car crash after being hit by a drunk driver. I'm glad they're unknown, it makes it something special for the fans that love the band. Their lyrics are pretty hard to understand, but Riggs was and still is a sensational singer.

Sometimes when I hears Ozzy's "No More Tears", it sounds like he's saying "no more jizz".
