Kid played a helluva game. Only guy that could make a bucket for the Bucks in the 1H. Spirited comeback from Milwaukee. While they didn't show it early, Bucks play really good team defense. Really like that team. Like Skiles.

Hawks came outta the gates furious. Like the Cavs today, a team that has been chomping at the bit for the playoffs to start, delivered a statement making haymaker in the first 24 minutes, then had to hold on as they came down from that high and saw their opponent fight back.

Also like the Cavs, hard to see this ATL team losing a home game in the 1st rd though. Do expect the Bucks to play much better in game two ... already know I'll be betting in +9 in game 2.

Honestly, beyond watching the Celtics get their shit pushed in watching this Bucks team + Bogut is what I was most looking forward to in the East in round one (I mean, really, the Cavs are not going to lose a game and we all knew this).

Damned incredible shame his arm was shattered into a million pieces on that fluke freaking play.
Bogut was averaging like 3.14 blockers per game in the second half. Guy was becoming a true force.

Now the only somewhat interesting thing (beyond watching the Celtics get their shit pushed in) is Stan Jeremy versus Larry Brown. And that series goes five max.

Equally sad and earth shattering to realize. Vince is playing this post-season to solidify his HOF standing.

Also, who in the hell actually had money on Josh Smith developing a post game this year? Every-time I watch him I am more and more amazed by his development.

I have a question, was Garnett always this big of a punk? I don't recall him acting this way in Minnesota but my memory is hazy on the matter

Also, can ESPN please, pleasse have the Tirico/Hubie Brown pair call the NBA finals. Pretty please.

I hope Boston wins that series, only for the simple fact that Lebron and co. can bury, and embarrass, them on national television and finally put that insufferable team to pasture.

What happened at the end of that game is exactly why I don't want to play Boston. It is going to get chippy and Shaq is already looking to get things square with Big Bitch Davis.

I'm cheering for Boston as hard as I am cheering the Cavs. Kicking the dirt on the grave of this Celtic team is just something I have to see this Cavaliers team do. And yes, while it will be a physical series, I think a series with the Celtics better prepare the Cavs for the ECF against Orlando/Charlotte/Atlanta.

As much as watching the Cavs end the C's run would be fulfilling, I just think watching the complete melt down that would ensue should they lose a first round series (how many punches get thrown if they are down in the 4th quarter and down three games against the Heat) would be the ultimate hilarity.

I mean if "The Big Three" cannot get past Wade, Michael Beasley's Bowl and the corpse of Jermaine O'Neal... well.... HA

They can get chippy all they want. I think it's pretty clear the Cavs are in their heads. With a full Cavaliers line-up, they don't stand much of a chance.

Beating them, burying them, and spitting on their graves would almost be as nice as winning a championship. Almost.

The Utah-Denver game was a good one if you didn't get the chance to see it yourself. Even game through three quarters and Billups was down with four fouls. Pulling for Utah there and they had a real shot heading into the fourth until JR Smith got loose on one of those 14 points in four minute heaters he can have.

It is a beautiful blend between finesse and power.

Still partial to watching guys like JR Smith and Ray Allen though. Nothing prettier to me than a catch & shoot pure jump shot. Especially when guys like that get in a rhythm. To me that's the epitome of hours and hours of hard work and repetition and muscle memory coming together in a symphony of motion.

Oh and I'll say this, if Serge can stay out of foul trouble today and Westbrook abuses the corpse of D-Fish OKC has a legit chance to win this thing.

Wish this game would just tip already, been waiting all weekend and the next three hours still feels like an eternity from now.

I don't think there's any doubt that Westbrook is going to sodomize whoever the Lakers roll out at point. Huge mismatch.

Too bad OKC didn't sign Camby or they would have a legit shot to win this series; I just don't see how OKC can match up with the Lakers inside - they just don't have enough size, especially after Bynum comes out of mothballs.

As bad as I would love to see the LeBron/Kobe final ... I'm just not going to be able to help myself from cheering for OKC.

Did bet the Lakers -7 today though. Just feel these home teams have such big advantages coming into these game ones well rested. Home teams in game ones ATS have been money the last 6-7 years.

Wow Noah

CLEVELAND -- As the league ponders whether to suspend Celtics forward Kevin Garnett for hitting Heat swingman Quentin Richardson in the face with an elbow, Bulls center Joakim Noah offered his opinion about Garnett.

"I'm going to say it: He's a dirty player," Noah said following Bulls practice Sunday.

Asked if he felt Garnett should be suspended, Noah went even stronger with his criticism.

"I don't make the decisions," Noah said. "But he's always swinging elbows man. I'm hurting right now because of an elbow he threw. It's unbelievable. He's a dirty player. It's one thing to be competitive and compete. But don't be a dirty player man. He's a dirty player.
"That's messed up. I'm really excited about that (Heat-Celtics) series. It's going to be fun. I hope they put (Jamaal) Magloire in."

Jamaal Magloire is a rarely-used big man for the Heat, with the obvious implication that he would foul Garnett hard.

"He knows what he's doing," Noah said. "It's messed up. It's wrong. It's not right. And then after that to say . . . whatever I shouldn't even be talking about this stuff. It's crazy."

7 is a lot of points to give up here. I feel you on the first game at home thing, but Adande is already reporting that both Kobe and Bynum's shots look off in pregame. Bynum is bound to be rusty as hell and Phil said he is playing 24.

Lakers just have too much for Thunder right now. Next season would be the better time for this series IMO simply due to the lack of experience for OK. You could see it almost every offensive possession today, they were just a bit skittish. No fault of theirs it's just natural at this stage of their careers. Of course credit to LA for making it tough on KD and his guys.

the big fake tough guy suspended for a game. haha. love it.

If Mr. Jackson is hurt, the Bobcats may win one game.

Did nothing all day Sunday but laze around and watch basketball. It was glorious....wish I could have stayed up for the Phoenix/Portland game, as it seems that series has the most intrigue of all of them. (Sans perhaps Miami/Boston) Some things I noticed....

1. Durant was the most skittish player on the Thunder. (Sans maybe Green) Westbrook was an absolute beast, and im not sure how much of it was because the corpse of Dfish was defending him; he was cutting through heavy traffic and still finishing. I've enjoyed watching him all year, and he didnt miss a beat. Collison, Serge, and Harden played all around good games too....I think OKC can put up a fight if Durant gets right. Lakers defense looked really good....swarming to every loose ball and penetration.

2. Charlotte sure grew the eff up as that game went on; Once they stopped trying to shoot over or around Howard and started playing aggressively, they were able to hang with Orlando. I liked what someone on ESPN said on the blueprint for beating the Magic....it's really a mental game based on screwing with Dewy. He was frustrated and innefective on offense the whole game. W/O Nelson going off, that game comes down to the final posession. Anyone think Vince rebounds and becomes a force? He basically did the same thing that plagued him in December and January, forcing off balance jumpers and playing hero ball.

3. The Spurs played sloppy, sloppy ball, basically w/o a PG (although Manu does a decent job of it, much like Delonte does for the Cavs) and still managed to hang tough with the Mavs until the end. If they dont get production from Hill or Jefferson, they wont have the punch to beat the Mavs. Anyone else actually kind of rooting for the Spurs to pull the upset, there? Everytime Haywood flexes or pulls his tough guy bullshit routine it takes me back to the playoffs with him promising "tough fouls" on Lebron and then completely disappearing. Wouldn't mind watching him or Bynum try to pull those same maneuvers on Shaq in the finals. (provided the ball bounces Clevelands way until then)

4. I hate Stu Scott. Passionately.

5. How is it Pietrus hasn't gotten any love for 6th man of the year over the last 2 seasons? Every time I watch the Magic, he and Reddick keep that team humming off the bench. Huge depth players for them.

Because Pietrus is inconsistent and shitty in the regular season?

Hope its Dallas, but seems more likely to be Denver based on the way their offense is humming.

Mark me down for a vote for Denver, not for any other reason than me wanting to attend.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

There's no D in Enver. They aren't going to make it to the Finals.

Cavs over Orl in 6, Mavs over Lakers in 6 ... Cavs over Mavs in 5.
