Yeah so the bug has bitten me quite ferociously. I don't even want to listen to the Beatles or Radiohead anymore.
I've also been taken hostage by Opera after briefly studying Tosca and maria Callas for my History degree.
Anyone else share these interests of the refined and sophisticated arts?

Although my likes definitely dont go as far as yours, I do enjoy classical music from time to time. My favorite piece is Mozart's K.581 Quintet for Clarinet and Strings. Heard it on the final episode of MASH and looked it up a few years back. Its an excellent work.
I also have a couple of compilation cd's with various classics. Very nice music to relax or read to in the evening. If you have any suggestions, I am all ears..

Well I remember in school when i was 13 maybe. a Music teacher was playing a piece by Prokofiev from Romeo and Juliet (the ballet of course not the DiCaprio flick)
and I was so impressed.
My favourite composers would definitely be Strauss (I love his Waltzs and Polkas) Die Fledermaus Overture being a good piece by him.
Antonin Dvorak is another favourite. Slavonic dance Op 46 No 2 being a great recommendation and his 'New World' compositons.
Brahms' Hungarions dance 1 in G minor and Beethoven's Sonata No 14 in C minor are two more I enjoy.
The Opera thing has come recently as I had to analyse a particular scene from the Puccini Opera 'Tosca'
The voice of Callas and the music which complimented each other so brilliantly really elicited a lot of emotion and I found it quite astounding (I had a translated copy of the libretto from the opera so was able to follow what was being sung)
and I was so impressed.

Actually I'm very fond of the music of Chopin. Had an Art Seminar class in high school and during the music portion of the course, I did a paper on Chopin. Took time to research and listen to his work and my appreciation of it grew.

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
