My parents used to take me there after they were done bowling in the 70's...First place I ever had a Shirley Temple and the rest is history

Yep, remember it like it was yesterday. Lived in Willowick from age 3 to age 18. Lived on Lakeshore over by the Cabin, then on Royalview, then Bayridge Blvd, then we moved like 200 yards around the corner onto East 309th St.

Good memories. Willowick was a great city to grow up in. Gone down the tubes a little these last 10 years.

Yeah, Willowick was great to grow up in. Had family down the street from the Cabin and I grew up on Willowick Dr by Dudley Field. My parents are still there. I moved over to 305 and Barjode for a year with some friends before moving out here.

Willowick has gone down hill the past few years and its always a culture shock going home. Its nice and peaceful out this way while its a lot of hustle and bustle out that way. Shoregate has really gone down hill if you ask me. A lot of crime there from what I hear and read.

Last two week shave been hell work-wise.

Loved this thread, and sorry I missed it. The fav restaraunts part as a kid was amazing. For me, it was vargo's pizza in Richmond heights. For my $ 5 allowance for cutting the big yard, I could get a medium 'za and coke with enough left over for the juke box in the late 70's.

Plus to Peeker for the Cabin. And then there was York Steak House in Pukelid Square Mall. Kenny Kings, Arthur Treachers..... man, all that.

And as for blonde's . brunettes and red heads?

Man, there are two kinds of men. Those who are with blondes and those who are trying to rationalize the reality that they aren't. :-)
