Pearl Jam's May 20, 2006 bootleg from the Q is easily number one. The Foo Fighters Skin and Bones isn't bad. There's an awesome version of Best of You on that one.

I'm going to count it because I can, Incubus's Live at Red Rocks DVD is quite good.

put me down for 3rd. when i was a wee lad in my pre-teen to early teen years in the late 70's, i thought kiss was the coolest thing ever.

The only live stuff I like is from bands and i'll never have a chance to see live. Otherwise I avoid it.

Throwing Copper?

I just listened to Throwing Copper a couple of days ago - how wierd is that? I have it on an USB hard drive and randomly picked it to listen to while working.

I am surprised Frampton comes alive hasn't been mentioned. Not on my top 5 but was massivley popular back in the day.

My fav? Rust never sleeps by Neil Young wore that mother out when it came out.

..and if Live at Leeds isn't on anyone's list its becasue you never heard it. It puts Majic Bus in the Top 10 of R&R songs, imlessthanho

Yeah, I saw Live in concert in Columbus in 95 and they did the whole Throwing Copper album...it was a great concert.

As for live concert albums....The Who Live at Leeds is easily my favorite I love the live version of The Magic Bus.

Many great selections with which I agree. Surprised no one has mentions Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East. One of the best of that bands records of all time, way better than most of what they did in the studio.

Although Kiss Alive and Neil Rust Live Rust are up there I have to go with:

Bob Seger: Live Bullet

You had the Nutbush City Limits, Katmandu, the connected Travelin' Man~Beautiful Loser track and of course Turn the Page.

I realize he didn't have the massive national following that Springsteen did, but I throw up an old Seger CD before I will The River. Eventually it got old and he faded into the sunset but there are some great tunes out there by Seger. This Live album was actually widely praised and released at a time when he started to get big with Night Moves.

Peter Garbriel Plays Live still gives me chills when the rythem of the heat kicks in.

Heads Stop Making Sense, but moreso for the film than the audio.

Doors always did a great job at covering a wide range of shit. Densmore did a killer job with Bo's synchopation on that joint, so did Ray & Robbie coming in.

For most of their stuff, if the Doors came out today, they'd be fresh still.
