Doesn't sound like Shutter Island's getting much love, but what are your faves from one of the best visionists?
1. Goodfellas: How I learned to slice garlic
2. Raging Bull: Ah, directors on blow
3. The Departed: One of the best casting jobs ever
4. Taxi Driver: The most disturbing character ever?
5. The Aviator: Wish this story would have kept going into the reclusive Vegas years (barely beats out Casino & Meanstreets for me)
Most Overrated: Cape Fear

Listen to me Randy, it doesn't matter if you're white, or black, or a Sasquatch even. As long as you follow your dreams, no matter how crazy or against the law it is. Except for Sasquatch, if you're a Sasquatch the rules are different.- Meatwadhttp://www.wolf-pac.com/

Goodfellas
Gangs of NY - DDL was a force in that
Taxi Driver
Color of Money
The Last Waltz
I'm ashamed that I haven't seen what are argued to be his & DeNiro's best works - Raging Bull and The King of Comedy. Time to join netflix.

Raging Bull was as close to a perfect movie as you get.
After that, Taxi Driver and The Departed.

I just can't take Ray Liotta seriously after being dragged to this abomination:

Casino, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver are the best of the best.
The Departed is hurt by Jack Nicholson's somewhat (SOMEWHAT) weak performance (relative to the rest of the cast) as was Gangs by Cameron Diaz's.

Was Ray Liotta as embarrassed about that one as he was about Unlawful Entry?
Thank God Good Fellas was made before that one.

This
Unless I am w/ my guido boys, watching them get riled up to Goodfellas is fantastic.
*I have been calling my guido boys guidos for years. If anyone accuses me of ripping of Jersey Shore I'll pop a cap in em. I am boys w/ an entire Shore house crew, I know what I know.
