I'm going to guess that 11,000 years ago when the upper half of our nation was covered in glacier, that this has happened before. I'll even go out on a limb and say that it happened during the last 'mini ice age" (1600-1850) too.

I was thinking the same. 1816, when Vermont got a foot of snow in July, maybe.

Really, the only states that normally it shouldn't snow are Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana. Only states, IIRC, that are geographically southern + low-altitude enough.

as for santa claus, i was referring to the whole "house at the north pole, elves making toys, flying reindeer and delivering presents to every rugrat around the world in a single night" idea, nothing against saint nicholas.

as far as the theory of evolution is concerned, it seems to me that if we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys??? the whole concept of evolution is that the old ones die off and only the ones who adapt and change to suit their environment will survive. monkeys have never changed. they're still monkeys. if the theory of evolution were true, we could not co-exist with them. at least the freaking dinosaurs had the presence of mind to die off and leave their smaller ancestors behind.

look, i never intended this to become a religious debate. just a bashing of al gore and his failed concept of global warming. yo mods, please stop any thread hijacking with this in mind.
