Nickelback and Shinedown

Unread postby redneckofsc » Wed Jan 20, 2010 4:11 pm

I saw the other day where Nickelback and Shinedown are going on tour together; and my first thought was that has got to be the worst concert ever. I tried to think of a worse one, and all I could come up with was possibly Creed, but I cant remember them touring with anyone that was as bad as them or worse.

Anyone plan on going to this concert?

Nickleback = Journey

They'll have retro value in a decade as karaoke songs and bar room sing-a-longs. Lordy knows I loves me some "Don't Stop Believin", especially after a dozen beers.

I like Shinedown quite a bit. Not so much on Nickelback.

I wouldn't go because it would be too expensive. The only group I'll pay $50+ to see anymore is Pearl Jam. Incubus never charges that much.

I didn't see a Cleveland date.
I've seen them once in the past and they put on a great live show.
They don't play all the cheesy shit they play on the radio, at least they didnt a few years back when I saw them.
They covered a Pantera tune right after they jammed "Side of a Bullet", their tune dedicated to Dimebag Darryl.
I'd probably go see them again.

Journey auctually had some talent.

Neil Schon is underrated as a guitar player and is sort of punished for playing a lot of ballads. And Steve Perry is pretty talented.

Nickleback is pre-packaged american idol like crap.

Those are two bands whose songs all sound the same, along with Creed, if you want to make this show worse you could add maybe Three Doors Down, Staind, Korn, RHC to name a few.
Bring the NHL to C-Town.

You guys are just going off the tunes they play on the radio.
Korn and Staind too?
Listen to a few of their discs and you'll have a much different opinion.
The Nickelback on the radio does get painful, I can't argue that, but they put on a very solid live show.

In agreement that is one of the worst concerts ever! I did however win tickets on a radio show to a Poison, Cinderella, & Slaughter show. Wow. Let's just say it was bad and leave it at that.

I can take (some of) or leave (most of) Nickleback, but I love Shinedown. Brent Smith is of the best vocalists of his era. YMM(and probably does)V.

Didnt they use Nickelback as a torture method at Guantonomo Bay?

I am being serious, I think I remember them playing this over and over in the cells for the terrorists.

The video as well.

Steve Perry. So passionate. The 80's chick. So unforgiving. Why can't she feel his sorrow and regret and unrequetted angst filled broken love? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ?
