Happy Birthday Swerb

Unread postby peeker643 » Tue Jan 12, 2010 2:30 am

While I'm up, lemme kick off the well-wishes.

Hope it's a good one and there at least 50 more behind it.

Have one of those Christmas Ales I know you squirreled away and enjoy it.

Swerb has Christmas Ale stowed away for his birthday? No way. And let me guess, Mark McGwire was taking more than Andro in the 90's.

Happy Birthday Rich.

I think it's important we all realize today that, without you, we'd be wrecking some other tool's website.

Happy Birthday, Rich. Hope it's a good one, brotha!

Thanks fellas.

And yes, the Strategic Reserve of Christmas Ale is still well stocked. One dilemma that just hit me last night though. The born on date issue. Christmas Ale doesn't keep very well, a lesson I learned the hard way last year.

I have to drink 5.3 Christmas Ales per day for the next 26 days to eradicate the Strategic Reserve before I run into aging issues. If I start to fall behind, I'm going to start bathing in it.

Holy shit, how much do you have? You should create a black market for that stuff.

I also now know why I couldnt find any in all of Ohio for my trip back for Christmas. Everyone told me it was sold out everywhere, what they didnt say was that a guy named Rich bought it all and hoarded it.

Welcome to 33.

Hopefully Peeker and Pup got you your donuts.

I would hate to see you riding around the East Side with a guitar case on a motorcycle... in this weather.

Cheers.

Holy shit, 137.8 beers. thought they only came in full bottles.

I just wasnt sure if he had others that were not in danger of having aging problems, therefore having more than what was laid out in that calculation. But I apperciate the sarcasm ;-) ;)

I long for the day I can consume a 6-pack of Christmas Ale in a sitting and still be able to function, let alone 26 straight days worth. We had a keg of it for New Year's and it was awesome and then quickly turned into confusion after the mass blackout.

Anyways, Happy Birthday to Rich. Appreciate everything you do with the site.

I bet he's got 138. That he's a 6-pack shy of 6 cases.

And that he's clearly selfish for not responding to an offer of help or he's hit the age where he doesn't remember I offered it already.

Happy birthday Rich. If it's any consolation, I'll probably have a couple of expired Christmas Ales in my fridge in a couple of months, too. I don't get around to drinking them that often.

Peeker, sorry, just saw your post. None of them were showing up actually. I set the boards up where anytime the words "help you out" and "Christmas Ale" are in the same post, it automatically moves that person to my Foes list.

This actually makes perfect sense.

Can I do that for that for a sequence of words like, "At-bats for Andy Marte" or "If Carmona can win 18-20".

I'll drop by and we'll see if we can figure out a filter for something like that. What time do you start drinking?

Happy Birthday, Swerb! Once again, thanks for creating and maintaining this website. It's greatly appreciated.

And for anyone in desperate need of Christmas Ale, I was at a bar in Hinckley Saturday night that still has it on tap. It's called Caddy Shak, just south of 303 on W. 130th. It was a pleasant surprise to get in one last fix before November.
