They're setting up some major boiling points in the first three episodes. Don's going to crack soon, Joan needs to drop her loser Doc Husband off a roof, and this whole British ownership thing's going to explode as well.
Plus, seeing Peggy stoned was great.

If by "slow" you mean Jaylew to the 2 hole, then yeah.
I wanted Peggy to invent a new snack food, like the Suzi Q or trhe Pringle when doing her Keith Murray imitation.
Don will never, ever, ever crack. He's the illest MFer from here to Gardinia. As they said in the day: So phresh, so clean.

Best episode of he season tonight, finally.
Cooper really cornered Don at the end.

And here I was quietly laughing while thinking to myself "f@ck a duck!"
Great episode...might have been perfect had they showed less of Betty (who is truly getting on my nerves worse than a SoulDawg QB post), and used those scenes to show Joan.
Cooper calling out Don was classic. I had forgoten that Bert knows about the Dick Whitman name change.

I think he meant Peggy...who did shine in the episode, and is one of my favorite characters.
But I really missed Joan's "cleavage the size of Montana".

I just wonder how it'll all come out in the plot. Will it split Don and Betty as she won't deal with reality?
BTW - Peter is a mad man, nailin' the nanny next door.

I was wondering about that a little.
I think it might even go so far as Betty being abused at some point by somebody, maybe even dad.
I cannot stand Peter.
(Feel like Seinfeld in the Melrose lie detector episode).

Right on, I loathe Peter as well. He takes away valuable screen time for Joan. God, she is crying out for a nice, long multi-episode arc.
Werent there subtle references to Betty being abused as well earlier this season or the end of season 2? I cant remember the episode or anything but I really thought that was hinted earlier at one point. Gotta go back and watch the seasons again.

Yes.
And that's why she's so bogus to Sally, and so hot / cold to the smooth one. watch. She'll blame or not believe Sally, and Don will go postal. Postal. The season will end with them splitting up. Book it. Everyone in this show has a deep, dark, f'ed up secret that shapes them that they try to escape, but can not.
I hate Peter so much I love his smarmy Pee Wee Herman ass as part of the story line. Love him getting punked. He's the Wile E Coyote of the show. I also want to see the gay / but married line of that one side bar creative charecter go somewhere. What a train wreck.

Plus you have the sale of Sterling-Cooper, with Don having zero leverage now that he has signed a contract.
Last three episodes are going to intense (and I still think the teacher is going to go a bit cuckoo-koo).

Yeah man, I never seen Don fall apart like that. Primal fear.
Does this bring them together or rip them apart?
How long do you think the teacher waited in the car? I was hoping she'd knock on the door!

Spoiler alert........
scrool down...
There was a foreshadowing scene when Roger was looking at his snotty daughter's wedding invitations.
The date looked familiar.![]()
At the same time she was bitching that Roger's new young wife would be a dsitraction as she was supposed to be center of attention that day.
Best season yet, I agree.
And great call on 'nam taking out Joan's toolshed new hubby.

Divorce for Betty & Don? I mean isn't that about the time in our country that divorce rates really went on the rise.
Very interesting to see the creators POV on all the different angles of the Kennedy assassination and its different impact on so many individuals.
Peggy & Duck makes sense from that stand point that he has been courting her business wise and women on the quick rise back then often had to deal with the rep of having to sleep to get to the top, despite Peggy being really good in the biz.
I'm a bit confused as to what they are doing with Joan right now.

Good call to those predicting the ruined wedding. Loved how the Campbells got all self-righteous and made it all about their feelings.
As for Joan, the writers are pretty much working up another go 'round with Roger aren't they? Marital issues on both sides, Roger keeps calling her. Seems perfectly set up.

The whole Don/Betty thing is interesting as he still loves her but she no longer loves him.
I thought the whole wedding hall scene was well done and Roger shined..
All in all, great episode and they worked in the JFK issue very well.
Next 2 episodes should be interesting as everything comes tumbling down..

Yeah...but there is only ONE more episode (Nov. 8).
Bummer...but I am looking forward to watching Jim Caviezel and Ian McKellen in AMC's revisioning of "The Prisoner" starting 11/15.
