Very simple. $25 to play.

Each player is given $1,000 in fictional money to wager on the MLB Playoffs, from the start of the Divisional Series through the conclusion of the World Series. You can bet as frequently or infrequently as you like, with the following guidelines.

~Minimum bet $50
~Maximum bet $500
~Must place a minimum of 10 bets and at least $1,000 in total wagers throughout the course of the entire playoffs

Whoever has the most cash left at the end of the World Series is our winner, and takes down the entire kitty. You run out of cash, obviously, you're out. No rebuys.

We'll use the lines from http://www.USAToday.com the day of the games. You can mail entry fee to me (PM for address) or PayPal it to me at richswerb@gmail.com.

Post all picks in here. Picks must be timestamped no later than the official start time of the game.

Gonna try and update them daily Dave. Weekends are a little tougher on me. Someone jumps in for me on the weekend updates, I will update the standings every Mon-Fri.

We'll make the tiebreaker (shouldn't need it) total money won/lost on the World Series games.

I'm going to use the BetUS odds for this contest, per the USA Today site. USA Today site lists the odds for like 8 different books. I can't access Sheridan's page for some reason.

For some reason if Bet US doesn't have odds posted, I will use Bodog.

Just as a reminder, below, you'd need to bet $130 to win $100 on the Phillies. $65 bet wins you $50. A $100 bet woud win you $77 ($76.92 actually, we will round all winning amts to the nearest dollar). Cardinals are even money for tomorrow. A $100 bet would win you $100. A $100 bet on the Dodgers would win you $120.

Please just list the team you want, and how much you want to bet on them. Not how much you want to win. So if you want to wager $130 on the Phillies to win $100, just post "$130 - Phillies".

Bets can be entered or changed up until the listed start time for the game. Time stamp on the post is the determining factor. And remember ...

~Minimum bet $50
~Maximum bet $500

Shouldn't the Rockies be +115 instead of -115? If it's -115, then the site you're using for the lines is taking some major juice.

I think so long as we're all playing by the same line, it shouldn't be an issue. Just adjust your bets according to our line. Or at least that's what I'm guessing.

Once I post the official lines, thats what we go by. Everyone bets on the same line. You may have minor fluctation in the hours leading into a game, obviously. Goal is to put a line out there the night before and have everyone bet off the same odds.

All 8 books the USA Today lists, all has both teams minus, all 8 books have the odds on both teams right in that same ballpark ... which isn't uncommon in baseball. Conversely, in the STL/LA game, neither teams are minus.

More than willing to do unofficial updates on the weekends. And - "check's in the mail"!

I know I can't speak for anyone else, but watching tonite's game is really great! Baseball was fun for a moment. Could be interesting to see who will put money on CC versus the Twins. SHould be an easy bet - yet? Not me. (Because Wedge wouldn't bet it either. No matter the odds.)
