Greatest invention/use of technology EVER. Enter one song or artist and then the iPhone streams that style of music til you switch to something else.
Type in 'Blister in the Sun' and you get hours of punk, etc. Refines your 'station' by giving you the option to give a'thumbs down' on a song or artist.
Just cool shit.
I know, I'm late to the table with the iPhone stuff. If this is out there already merge it or delete it.

I have it and love it. Plugged it in on my drive to work one day and was just amazed that I could listen to it crystal clear while driving along I-90.

This app completely makes satellite radio obsolete in my opinion...for music anyway.

just to be clear for everyone, pandora is typically used on the web and has been around for a long, long time.
but it does rock, except for the whole pay for over 40 hours thing.

Kind of a tangent, but is anyone else's iPhone Internet running super slow or not running at all.
I keep getting a damn server down notice. So much for 3G.
Also, is upgrading to the 3Gs worth it?

So once you hit 40 hours it's no longer a free iPhone app? I didn't notice the option for a pay Pandora app. Maybe at that point you have to sign up via web and log in on the iPhone.

What's an "iPhone"?
Listen to me Randy, it doesn't matter if you're white, or black, or a Sasquatch even. As long as you follow your dreams, no matter how crazy or against the law it is. Except for Sasquatch, if you're a Sasquatch the rules are different.- Meatwadhttp://www.wolf-pac.com/

It's some kind of communication device that kids use these days. Think walkman meets television meets walkie talkies.

Ahhh.... 40 hours per month and then a small fee to keep the service playing that month if you go over the 40.
I can live with that. I can see how some would think it's trite or petty but I don't listen that much at work and I'd be okay with the 40 limit.
Thanks for the info Stu.

you could also just create a new account. my buddy listens at work so he has 4 accounts to get through the month.

My wife tried that and they wouldnt let her. Wonder what the difference is, besides my wife perhaps being a doofus
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

I'm not a fan of Pandora, but I tend to prefer to listen to albums and not get styles jumping around.
Presently I subscribe to Zune Pass for my Zune HD and get to download just about whatever I want while getting recommendations. The quality is also much better, though I pay for it. But I have more control over what I want to listen to, I can actually repeat a song or even rewind it. Can't do those things on Pandora.
I also don't have to use wireless access of any kind, though I can if 802.11 is around.
It depends on how you want to listen to music.
