Week 3 CFB

Unread postby skatingtripods » Tue Sep 15, 2009 1:25 pm

Back at it again this week.

Locked in BYU -7.5 against Florida St. before the line starts moving. I can't see any way FSU stays in this game past the 3rd quarter.

Am I allowed to get in this thread, or do I need to start my own?

I agree with BYU, and actually got in when it was -7. Some others I like:

Navy (+7) over Pitt
UNC (-7) over ECU
Tulsa (+16.5) over Oklahoma
Minnesota (+14) over Cal
Va Tech (-4) over Nebraska
UC (+1) over Oregon St.
BGSU (-3) over Marshall

Thoughts?

Like the Tulsa pick.

I like the UNC pick too. People are a little sour after they nearly got beat by UConn, but ECU is a bad team.

Navy's probably a solid play, but Pitt can't defend the pass. Buffalo had 433 passing yards on them to only 67 rush yards.

BYU -8, UNC -8 and Georgia +1.5 (gotta feeling). Looking hard at Cin/ Org St. I think the Beavers pull the upset. I'm waiting on the line to move.

Edit- I'm a dumbass

I'm sure you mean BYU (-8) and UNC (-8) right, or do you like the respective underdogs?

GT over 24.5

Wow, is Nesbitt bad. I'm hoping the Trip-option wears down Miami, and GT breaks some big runs, but they look like dog meat right now.

Added Baylor -11 against UConn. UConn is QB-less and Baylor had a bye week to prep.

BSU under 31. Fresno will run the clock, no 61-10 this season.

Edit- Snake bitten this week. Stay away from my picks.

Feeling lucky and a bit stoopid so I pulled a sucker parlay for the 1pm NFL games... Well only a two teamer, but still a parlay Saints (-1) with Falcons (-6). Go BSU make me a perfect week...

Game of huge plays. 3 rushing TDs of 60+. Amazing.

620 total rushing yards combined in the Boise-Fresno game. Sick.

Added Tenn(+30) and Cincy (-1.5)...

edit...
Almost added OSU (-22) when making those other two, would be on fire if I would have...

Looks like we had that one just about as wrong as it gets, I thought the exact same, and played the game the same way u did. Guess last week was just a hangover from the tough loss to Miami and not a trend...
