Early lines I like:

Navy -8 against La Tech (opened at -7), Rice +27.5 at Texas Tech, Boise St. -38.5 against Miami (OH).

Take a look at pete carroll's record ATS in September when he brings his team East. I may be wrong but I believe he has covered every time. He also has covered in his last 4 games against the Big 10.

Most of these games in September he had a new QB. He had a QB that never played at USC because he couldn't get on the field and that same guy just got a huge NFL contract with KC.

I read somewhere that OSU is 1-4 against ranked non-conference teams in thier last 5 meetings.

None of those QB's were true freshman, IIRC. Also most of those teams were of the 4 loss variety at the end of the year. Auburn, Arkasas, Nebraska, Virginia. Not saying the Trojans are not a good bet, just pointing out some important fine print.

He's been destroying the Big Ten though, that's true.

If you were going to bet the game, I'd think you would have to take USC.

Of course as an OSU fan its not something I would bet on.

I'm definitely avoiding the Ohio State game. Who knows what Buckeyes team will show up.

I've added North Texas +2.5 (probably buying the hook) at home against Ohio. NT was really impressive when I watched them upset Ball St.

Wound up just taking North Texas outright at +120. Bought 1.5 pts for Navy and got them at -7 against La Tech.

* Stanford over Wake (he was on Baylor over Wake as a dog last week)
* Western Michigan over Indiana
* North Texas over Ohio U.
* San Jose State over Utah
* UNLV over Oregon State

He's also got Boise State easily beating the spread vs. Miami; Akron crushing Morgan State by 20 more than the line; and UAB barely beating SMU while giving 12.

I was looking at TCU -12 too. Virginia getting embarrassed by William & Mary. Part of me feels like it's a bit of a trap game for TCU.

I can't decide if Toledo is good, or Colorado is horrible. The Rockets had a few studs dinged up too. If their D can force a few 3 and outs a game, they can run away with the MAC.
