Bradley/Campbell

Anyone see this one last night? More notably, the circus after the fight was stopped?

Bradley caught him with an inadverdant headbutt in rd 3. Opens a big cut. Campbell has to stop it after rd 3, cut just too big. They give the fight to Bradley though, instead of making the fight a no contest.

Campbell, a guy who is in financially dire straits, has had a hard time gettign fights, even after beating Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz a year and a half ago ... goes ape shit. Rightfully so IMO. Got hosed.

Bradley looked good though. Won each of the 1st 3 rounds, looked well on his way to a win. And Campbell is no chump. Tough, gritty, veteran junior welter. I like Bradley a lot. He was in a tough spot after the fight. In front of his hometown peeps, very excited at first, then has to watch this circus unfold, with even the promoter (Don King) taking Campbell's side.

First fight of the night was pretty good too. Devon Alexander ends Junior "The Quitter: Witter's career to become WBC junio welterweight champ.

Worth watching the replay of you have Showtime and missed it. Also, between fights, did a cool feature on the Super Six Super Middleweight tournament.

I was expecting a much better fight than what actually went down, felt kind of cheated when it was all over and done with. Campbell was 100% justified for being pissed off over the outcome. It turned into a total circus afterward.

Nothing surprises me anymore with boxing.
The ref missed the headbutt, plain and simple.

Super Six = Andre Ward
SOG baby.

Don't understand why they can't go to the replay in a situation like that. Why not? Take 90 seconds, look at all the angles, and make sure the right decision is made.

If Bradley doesn't give Campbell a rematch, the blown call will end up costing him hundreds of thousands of dollars. Dude isn't going to take that lying down, especially if he is as piss poor as the announcers made it seem last night.

He's gonna raise a huge stink. Could inspire positive reform in the sport when it comes to video replays.

Almost all sports are using them right now. Why not boxing?

It never ceases to amaze me how two guys can train hard for several weeks, only for the fight to end up with a complete bullshit result. Please bring on the replay to boxing.
