6-2 day for the field, sizzling down the stretch. Lead takes the day off, and his three closest competitors (ASP, Earl, GHCS) all notch wins to pick up a half game and keep the pressure on him. Just a couple losses by Lead, who has shaky teams left, could really change the face of this thing.

11 days left. Pool ends next Thursday. Outta town the next couple days for work with Gashouse. Just pray he doesn't bet on a safe landing for our airplane in StL. Will do my best to keep the daily updates coming.

Very painful loss. I had a good amount of coin on the Twins last night. I went to bed feeling good at 12-2 in the 4th inning. I laughed when I saw the score this morning and then I saw the last play of the game. This one will end up in my Top Ten of worst defeats. When have the hapless A's rallied from anything, much less 10 runs?

Stu, 1929 to be exact, in the WS versus the Cubs, no less. And that was only an 8 run deficit. They've never pulled out of a 10 run hole.

Peeker, still busting on your analogy! I will brace for more; heading to NE for a Mohegan Sun/Foxwoods bash. From what we hear about Woods, I'd be better off making a last-three-innings bet on the Tribe. Hope the bad beat jackpot hasn't been hit in awhile.
