British Open Thread - Turnberry Edition

Unread postby Ziner » Thu Jul 16, 2009 12:43 am

Not a huge fan of MST during the British Open, while I am looking forward to the NFL at 11 am, the BO starting at 1130 is kinda a nut kicker. Should be starting soon, not sure I will get to see a ton of it.

BP - The United Kingdom sucks :nanner:

that was just the ratings you head hit the floor. No Phil, No Tiger... their only hope is Tom Watson right now. The older demo would love that

I'm rooting for Watson. I've always had a spot in my heart for the old guys making a run. I'll never forget Nicklaus in the 1998 Masters at 58 coming in 6th.

Hate to say it but Watson choked on that possible wining putt on 18.

You could see him slow down right before he made contact with his putter, a shame.

Still happy for him.

Tiger is a mess right now, not even making the cut, WTF?

Man, what a bummer.

I like Stewart Cink, and he's a class guy, but the only people on the planet that were rooting for him was members of his immediate family.

Still...hell of a run from Watson.

Imagine how unwatchable this thing would have been with no Watson resurgence?

I am probably in the minority on this but the British Open is one of the most agonizing things in golf to watch IMO.

Coverage is different and is mostly bleh, no picturesque views unless they go to commercial, ugly mother fuckin courses.

I'd seriously be more interested in watching a major at Big Met.

I am beginning to think Woods might actually be human. His cyborg tendencies seem to be waning. :hide:
