So you're a newbie, huh. 1968, I think. We started a league with 4 NL and 4 AL teams. Played about 50 games--we were real innovators and had interleague play. We were astounded, even at that small sample size, how close to actual performance our stats came out. Although I do seem to remember Chico Ruiz (CIN) having some outlandish year. Greatest board game of all time. Monopoly a distant second. I used to love the football game back then too. I'm sure the Strat-o-Matic football game has changed a lot as the game has.

RCB, it's an online Strat-O league. Run by the Sporting News. They have a very large and eerily devoted online group/following.

Same actual cards from the 1986 season. Simulate three games every night at like 2 AM, wake up, read you box scores, tinker with your lineups. 162 game season. So it lasts like 54 days.

Very, very fun. If you love Strat, very addicting. The online game is great.
