...and why is he stealing my name? Fuck it, who cares, that's not what I have to say.
Actually, I have something I'd like to confess...
I was rooting for the Steelers in the AFC Championship game yesterday. Ok, put down the shotgun. There is a perfectly good explanation for this...I think.
Forget the fact that my Dad is a Steelers Fan and I was watching the game with him at his house. That has nothing to do with it. My question to all of you is:
Why not let the AFC title go to Pittsburgh in exchange for a humiliating Super Bowl loss. No? That opinion might not be shared by most, but this is coming from a Buffalo Bills fan. Oh shit! Now to explain that.
I was born in Erie, P.A. and I moved to Ohio when I was 3 years old. When I was old enough to watch and understand football, something still confused me.
My Dad was a Steelers fan, but everyone else I knew liked the Browns.
What was I to do? I liked the Browns too... and since then have grown into a huge Cleveland sports fan in general. There is nothing like having pride in your town, but at the time I was 11, and wanted my own team.
I chose the Buffalo Bills ( I had my reasons ). I hear ya, great choice, but 18 years and 4 Super Bowl losses later and I'm still a fan... and there is nothing like a Buffalo Fan to know about how bad it sucks to lose a Super Bowl.
Alright, so Pittsburgh losing the Championship game would have been nice, or great! Whatever, but I say losing the Super Bowl is gonna be a whole lot worse for that team and that city... and a whole lot more fun to cheer against those morons on Feb. 5th. Right?
Go Buffalo! Go Cleveland! Go Seattle!!! Go SpazDawg, whoever you are!
