CSBA: SUNDAY REMINDER

Unread postby swerb » Thu Mar 23, 2006 9:23 pm

Alright, enough is enough. This is going far too slow.

Starting at 8 AM ET tomorrow, we are going to a one hour time limit. If you do not make your pick in one hour from the previous pick, I will select someone for you based on need, '05 stats, and '06 projections. The time window will be from 8 AM - 10 PM every day.

My cell # is 440-552-0691. My email is richswerb@msn.com. You can pm me on this site.

Get me a list of players or call me if you feel you will be away from your computer for an extended period of time.

I'm making verbas pick for him at 8:45. I haven't seen him logged on in 6-7 hours. I have DMiles pick ready to go.

I will be gone at another draft on Sunday morning. Someone call me on my cell when my picks come up and I will make them when contacted.

Thanks, I like the idea.

WE do need to get this going. It is the best we have.

I will be missing Saturday 11:30 till 1:30.

My wife is taking one daughter to the Dentist in the morning, so I am elected to go to a seven year old birthday party.

If I can get away sooner, once my wife gets there, I will.

Going an hour schedule, I guess my pick would be expected ? Hopefully, if we have members who make quick picks, the hour time frame you mention is not a set hour each day. The idea of five guys submitting a draft choice between 8 - 9 means the next guy loses his chance between 9 - 10. Or do we wait till after 12:00 noon?

I thought I would ask. I do not want to wait another day to get this rule updated.
I enjoy this stuff.

Ram, you have an hour from when the last person picks.

So if 5 picks are made in 20 minutes, your pick could come alot quicker than expected.

If concerned about this, get me your cell # and I will call you when you are on the clock. Or get me a list.

Its the best of a bunch of imperfect options.

I don't have a problem with it.

I don't have a problem with it.

I just wanted to clarify the condition so I fully understood it.

I am pretty much on line most of the time. My exits are routine stuff.

I don't have a cell phone. But, I will give you my number, although it is long distance.

I doubt it will be necessary.

I either did not read your original post close enough, or I just wanted to clarify a point or two.
I enjoy this stuff.

My bad Ram. I reread that and it came across as snooty ... not at all how I meant it. You are one of the owners that always picks promptly, and lets us know when you will be away.

Im a little on edge watching this Duke game. :o

I think if we don't do a live draft for 90 or so minutes, then everyone should give swerb their cell and/or home number.

Depending on the call plan you have it may not be expensive at all. I have Cingular and a national plan so I can call all of you guys up and chat for hours. Won't cost me an additional dime.

Mt cell # 908 500 8949.

REMINDER FOR SUNDAY

I will be gone from 8 AM to likely 4 PM.

I will not be able to make autopicks for people, so don't submit me a list. Someone call me at 440-552-0691 when my turn is up and I will give you my pick.

Why don't we pause Sunday, until the evening?

I'm all for pausing tomorrow until the evening. I've got my auction tomorrow for another league and will be incognito until 5:00pm. I was planning on checking in periodically using my Treo ... but would definintely be in favor of pausing until Swerb is back in tow.

With the way the pace picked up yesterday and so far today even if we pause we should be close to wrapping this thing up come Monday or Tuesday.

It would be ok

WE could pause until 5 pm, Sunday.

If a few want to make picks, I'll post them.

Taking a Sunday break until 5 pm, with the clock starting 1 hour again, until 10 pm would be fine.

Alright, sounds like a plan. Anyone that wants to pick still can. And you can still call me for my picks of it comes to me.

I'm OK with this plan provided we keep moving quickly today and sunday after 5....

Also, I think I may set the record for most guys collecting social security on a fantasy team. My pitchers have kids older that Sizemore.
