Easily the biggest night for our young company.

Effin Miranda. Another headbutt. Blatant. Ward looked tenative to start the fight, headbutt and resulting cut pissed him off.

Should be an interestign fight. First round was awesome.

I'm not sure why guys would want to fight Miranda at this point in his career.

That headbutt was absurd and with the low blows you leave yourself vulnerable to something stupid from him.

Entertaining fight thus far though, Ward is showing a lot of toughness.

Ward said in the prefight interview, he was chasing other guys for this slot. Guys with belts. None of em wanted to take the fight. Finally settled on Miranda, cause he felt he needed a name win. Which he does.

You can almost see that Miranda is looking for one shot.

Ward is just sizing up and teeing off.

This fight should end shortly if Ward stays aggressive.

Miranda simply had no respect for Ward's punching power coming into this fight. Didn't think he could hurt him, had left himself wide open all night.

Miranda just flat out sucks. I got the same scorecard, Swerb.

Guy has ridden the Abraham fight long enough, he's a lesser-Arturo Gatti to me...

That said, it makes it tougher to evaluate Ward, while on one point he's taking care of business and fighting a solid fight, on the other hand the low hands and his tendancy to get a little loose with his punches and approaches are cause for concerns against higher level competition. Still the skills are there.

Also this announcing crew is viciously bias towards Ward, almost a little over-board.

Ward is clearly skilled. Has impressed me with the toughness he's showed tonight as well. Ward is making a statement tonight to the naysayers that have questioned his toughness and competition fought to this point.

To me, Ward is kind of along the same lines as Bad Chad. Both very polished, skilled. Neither with devastating power, maybe both would be better suited one weight class lower .. Dawson at 168, Ward at 160.

Both are going to be very tough to knock out or outpoint though.

Two very talented young fighters. Would love to see em scrap at 168.
