Anyone ever had Dale's Pale Ale?

Awesome, my favorite Pale Ale besides Burning River, although very comparable. I think it is only sold out west though, its my new stand-by. I highly suggest that if you see it to pick it up.

The coolest part? A microbrew in a can

Nice thread. Some of my favorites:

Bell's Oberon is great beer - should be able to get it in the Midwest, it's brewed in Michigan. Great summer beer.
Sam Adams Summer Ale
Shiner Bock
Alaskan Amber
Red Hook
Fat Tire
Mighty Arrow Pale Ale (another New Belgium product)
Pyramid Hefeweizen

When I wasn't being a beer snob, my absolute favorite was a little hole in the wall in Seattle that had $4 pitchers of Pabst Blue Ribbon and free pool on Sunday nights. Nothing like starting your week off in grad school with a PBR hangover :thumb up:

Sphaten is excellent, their Lager is awesome and they make the best (and first I believe) Oktoberfest beer ever period.

If you ever get a chance check out this top notch Pilsner. Most of the time you have to order it from Germany, but it's well worth the wait, got 5 24pack longnecks coming in the end of May.

After I run out of that, i'll be ordering some Sphaten.

Saw the "Shiner Family Reunion" six and twelve packs at the grocery store last night, I'll probably pick some up this weekend. 6 different beers: Shiner Bock, Light, Hefeweizen, Blonde, Black Lager and Kosmos.

I was in San Antonio at the Grand Hyatt on the Riverwalk last week for a software user conference. I can't count how many Shiner Bock's I must have thrown down. Great stuff, and all free. Incidentally the morning that the Mavs ousted the Spurs Mark Cuban came walking off the elevator as I was walking on around the lunch hour. Totally took me by surprise as I wasn't paying attention to the Spurs/Mavs series and forgot they were even in town. Still the free Shiner made that trip worth it and I won't miss one of those events again. (though I did take on some free margarita's also).

Full Sail IPA is good - but to be clear, Full Sail Amber is the Original Nectar of the Gods (TM).

The issue with Full Sail is it is only a Northwest/West Coast beer, but it is hands down, the best beer I have ever had.

Got married in Oregon, I had one request and one request only: keg of Full Sail Amber - everything else, I didn't care.

I have actually made about a half dozen trips out to the brewery in Hood River, God's Country.

Since I can't get that on a regular basis, the beer of choice now is Harpoon IPA - when in Rome.

Magic Hat #9 is a nice fall back.

Sierra Nevada is the national beer I drink - you can get it just about anywhere and never lets you down.

During hockey season I buy the Molson stuff they ship in from Canada with the outrageous alcohol content, but usually don't pop those until after a Harpoon or three.

I have no beer I have consistently drinking, although alot of places I have dined at recently have had Great Divide Titan IPA, its pretty damn good, but that isnt why I am posting.

So this beer store near me has a cooler full of singles, always a new rotation, it is only $7.99 a 6 pack for the biggest random selection of brews. I love it. I have gotten it 3 times and never the same beer twice. Its a great way to sample alot of beers with out having to plop down for a 6 pack when you dont know if you'll like it. Wish more stores did that.

Down in Nashville one bar had them for $2 for a 16oz draft and at LP Field they were $9 for a 24oz bottle. Which is $4.50 a beer and that ain't ridiculous at a stadium venue.

Another thing I liked about the CMA Fest and Nashville: they gouged you nowhere. $4 to park all day in a downtown, covered garage next to the venues, food was reasonable if not cheap, beer joints were competing for crowds. Good time.

And Nashville is bigger, newer, nicer and cleaner than Cleveland while still preserving the older architecture and bars that pre-dated actual commerce.

They have their shit together down there.

Yuengling is a great casual drinking beer and it makes negative sense that it is not in Ohio (not in Mass either).

That said, I have been on a huge Long Trail (Vermont Brewery) kick for a few months. Like it better than both major local Boston breweries (Sam and Harpoon).

I've heard good things about Bell's Oberon, a wheat ale, perfect for summer. It even comes in a handy dandy little keg for about $20. Anyone try this yet? (Forget for a moment that it's brewed in that state up north).

Paulie C turned me on to the Bells Oberon a couple months back when we met at the Melt for a couple cold ones after work. Their IPA (name eluding me) is bad to the bone as well.

Quickly become one of my favorite beers. Great summer patio beer. 6.0% too. Very smooth, great taste. Really, really good.

New Belgium Brews for me....Fat Tire, Skinny Dip and Sunshine Wheat. Tried their Mighty Arrow, Sorry to say I couldn't stand the taste, first time I tossed some beers out! Sante Fe Brewery has some fine beers if anyone manages to head out west give them a try. When I'm in Ohio in July I will definitely get some Dortmunder.

My friend got me hooked on Railbender from the Eerie Brewing Co. Not bad at all, it's a dark lager with a great aftertaste.

Otherwise, my fridge is evenly split between Burning River and Yuengling Black&Tan.

Still have a few Sam Adams White Ales left, but those'll be gone soon. Too bad that's only a seasonal. Not that there's anything wrong with Blue Moon or Leine's Sunset Wheat, but I just prefer White Ale over the other two.

The kids up here just call it Magic Hat #9. It is their flagship beer.

Ahh good 'ol Mickeys. That, King Cobra (Along with Old E,the worst alcoholic liquids ever made), and Black Velvet Whiskey was a fun part of my latter teen years. That was when flavor meant nothing, it was about getting so hammered you passed out in the grass. It was about bong hits and nasty beer. ;-) ;) :wink:

I'll bring a few different types of the imports I dig to the OSU/Toledo game see what you guys think.

This beer I had in Germany during Oktoberfest, it's from Sweden, it ramges in alcohol from 5%-7+%. I can't find a picture of the can, but the one I bought was the size of 2 Fosters cans stacked on top of each other. It cost 1 Euro, it wasn't awful, not great but, it could've been much worse.
