I dont know if it was a joke, but I said from day 1 that this was the worst possible matchup for an undersized, cold shooting buckeyes team.

Is it just me, or does it seem that except for one team, the Big Ten struggles in the tournament every year. Illinois last year, Michigan State a few years back, etc.
Seems to me the Big East is the top hoops conference. Four in the Sweet 16.
Ride it like you stole it.

There has been a couple of years lately where the Big Ten performed very well in the tourney including multiple final 4 team twice I think. Wasn't MSU there with Illinois last year and didn't Wisconsin make it with MSU a couple of years ago?

You're right.... Illinois & Michigan State were both in the Final Four last year.
Ride it like you stole it.

Also, Wisconsin made the Elite 8 as an 8 seed last year.
And the Big Ten was ranked terribly in the RPI standings last season.

RPI is not a good measure of a team or conference's projected tournament success. The big 10 got some pretty rough matchups, but I am pretty sure that it was not the best conference in basketball. Georgetown was an absolutely miserable match up for the Buckeyes. Nothing worse for a team that plays 4 guards then a team full of athletic big men.
