I'll keep this updated as we go along through Wednesday. Hopefully, Howson will be active.

So far, of note, these two trades:

NJ receives: D Niclas Havelid
ATL receives: D Anssi Salmela

ANA receives: D Ryan Whitney, F Tangradi
PIT receives: F Chris Kunitz

Can we post rumors too, or just actual trades?

Here are a few rumored deals...

Chris Neil to Pittsburgh (for a prospect and late pick) or Detroit (for Jim Howard and a third round pick, or Daniel Larsson straight up).

Manny Legace to Washington for picks/prospects.

Ian Laperriere to Pittsburgh if they miss out on Neil

Blair Betts to Detroit.

Jamal Mayers to Detroit if they miss out on Neil

Lupul and Van Riemsdyk to Florida for Bouwmeester

Bill Guerin to Montreal for Georges Laraque, Mathieu Dandenault, and a pick

Toronto sends Nik Antropov and Alex Ponikarovsky to Nashville for Ville Koistinen, Cody Franson, and a pick.

Again, these are all just rumors.

Rumors are good too. This is just the all-purpose discussion forum.

Boston radio is reporting that there's a proposal on the table to send Chris Pronger to Boston in exchange for Patrice Bergeron and draft picks.

Boston's been the most linked team to Pronger. I don't see anyone getting him but them, but it leads me to believe that Toronto's price for Kaberle really is higher than people are letting on. Pronger's signed through next year for 6.25M. They're off the hook on Kaberle this offseason.

Jackets get their centerman.

Jackets receive Antoine Vermette from Ottawa in exchange for Pascal Leclaire and a 2nd round pick.

Pierre McGuire just said Pascal Leclaire is the best goaltender Ottawa's had since they came into the league.

Nothing else really going on.

Calgary gets Jordan Leopold from Colorado in exchange for Lawrence Nycholat, MTL 2nd '09, and Ryan Wilson.

Buffalo gets a backup goaltender, Mikael Tellqvist from Phoenix for a 4th rounder.

A big fish finally moves.

The Calgary Flames acquire C Olli Jokinen from Phoenix for C Matthew Lombardi, F Brandon Prust, and CGY 1st '09.

The finances don't really line up here, so Calgary probably has to make another move.

Bill Guerin to the Penguins. No announcement yet, but my guess is a 2nd round pick (probably in 2010) and a low-level prospect.

Edit: A conditional draft pick.

Antropov to the Rangers for a 2nd and a conditional.

Moore to the Sabres for Carolina's 2nd rounder.
