Plus beggars really can't be choosers at this point. It's post-trade deadline, the Cavs are down a frontcourt starter, and they need a veteran big man in case Ben is limping for the rest of the year. Hopefully that's Joe Smith, but if it's Sheed, it will be time to plug my nose and venture into the dark world of rooting for a guy I've despised throughout his career. Politics and championship runs make for strange bedfellows.

Are you expecting them to get the perfect player? There's a reason these guys are available, assuming they are, as a mid-season free agent. There's a significant flaw, or their team wouldn't consider buying them out.

This isn't a trade where we have to weigh giving up someone. This is something for nothing at a position for which we currently have 2 healthy players plus a couple rooks and a stiff.
