We are in for a treat tonight.
The UFC has put together a very solid card tonight, no PPV, free on Spike.
Feb. 21st event will be on Spike also.
There are a lot of fights that I am pumped for tonight.
Joe Lauzaon is a guy I love to watch and he headlines the event.
Neer vs Danzig should be excellent as well as Johnson vs Fioravanti
Josh Roshalt is one of my favorite up and coming fighters, he was a national champion wrestler at Okla St
MAIN CARD (Televised)
Joe Lauzon vs. Jeremy Stephens
Denis Stojnic vs. Cain Velasquez
Mac Danzig vs. Josh Neer
Luigi Fioravanti vs. Anthony Johnson
PRELIMINARY CARD (Un-televised)
Rob Emerson vs. Kurt Pellegrino
Dan Miller vs. Jake Rosholt
Matt Grice vs. Matt Veach
Rich Clementi vs. Gleison Tibau
Nick Catone vs. Derek Downey
Steve Bruno vs. Matthew Riddle

Rosholt TKOed a very solid fighter in Nissen Osterneck in his only WEC fight (Osterneck is a legit BJJ competitor who is also very heavy-handed), but he looked completely outmatched against Miller. For a "world-class" wrestler, he got rolled and sumbitted FAST.

Taking a shot at my boy Jake Roshalt huh?
He looked lost in his fight, no question.
Are you questioning his wrestling credentials?
4 time All-American and 3 time National Champ at Oklahoma State.
He made a bad mistake going for the takedown and got caught in a choke by a good fighter.
We see it all the time in the mma world.
He'll be back.

I wasn't taking a shot at him at all.
I was just very surprised the way he looked against Miller, compared to the way he looked against Osterneck, who has arguably better BJJ credentials, and a much better striker than Miller.
I was surprised that, as great a wrestler as he is, he let someone take advantage of him in that way on the ground.

He got caught, plain and simple and paid the price.
His corner yelled at him to watch for the gullotine and then ten seconds later it was over.

Yeah, it was almost like they gave Miller the idea to go for the guillotine. They were locked in a clinch, Rosholt's corner shouted, and then after a little delay, Miller grabbed his head, dropped down, and had it deep fast.
I forgot how fast it all went down, until you brought it up.

Jake's a great dude, I've had a chance to talk to him a few times.
I hear he trains like a maniac also. After the fight he told me he was taking a vacation to the Bahamas for a week or two.
He'll be back busting his ass harder than ever after a loss like that I have a feeling.
