I like ketchup, pasta sauce and salsa but the texture of fresh tomatoes makes me want to vomit. I cant even eat some salsas if they arent pureed enough

Totally agree with this take. Fresh tomatoes overpower whatever they are on/in and the smell is just nauseating.
In addition, I find Celery to be the most vile thing on the planet. The smell, taste, and texture is just revolting in ways I cannot describe without the use of graphs or charts. Plus I am allergic to it, handling it for a long time make my damn skin break out. Learned that the hard way working in a produce department as a youth.

I hate....cauliflower, green olives, salmon, braylon edwards...oops, wrong thread.

Man most of you guys are making me feel like I am in the minority by actually liking tomatoes.
I bite into those things like they're apples.

Actually I can hardly touch that shit either. I try it because people say it is so good, but I have yet to find a fish I like, Lobster sucks, clams, all that stuff tastes like slimey salt-water goo. I can handle fried shrimp, but that shrimp cocktail shit grosses me out

Try some you didn't hit with your car.
I can't think of anything better than venison tenderloin with fresh steamed brussel sprouts, asparagus and cauliflower. Mmmmm....
I hate fancy salads with twigs, nuts and roots that I can't identify.

I felt this way until I moved to Seattle and had fresh seafood. Not even the same thing as "seafood" in the Midwest. No comparison.

Bayou Tribe wrote:Good point on the freshness of seafood, and I'd add that the species and habitat really makes a difference too (freshwater or saltwater, water-depth, etc). My personal favorite is fried speckled trout. Freshwater fish but caught in deeper waters so you don't have the tendency to get a muddy taste that you would with shallow-freshwater fish.
Fish (and I'm sure seafood as a whole) cover a wide range as far as taste goes.

Love tomatoes cooked ... even cut up small with some garlic, oil, and spices on bruschetta. But just cannot do raw tomato slices. Can't comprehend how people eat them on sandwiches and burgers.
Will eat just about everything else.
