Should Cavs look to add shooter??

I keep hearing Latrell Sprewell's name coming up. Why not take a chance on this guy until Hughes comes back??

In my view they have enough shooters.

A PG to supplement Snow and replace Damon Jones, or an enforcer defender down low are what I see the Cavs two biggest needs as, even with Hughes on the shelf.

They have enough shooters, it would be nice if they could get some "makers" though.

Good point. How worthless has Damon Jones been ... my god.

No defense, no penetration ... all he does is lurk on the permiter and launch. If not making shots, he is quite possibly the most worthless player I've seen in a Cavs uni since my boy The Alaskan Assassain.

And we've got 4 years of him and his ego at about 4 million per.

Ouch.

At least he does that cool handshake with LeBron.

Don't you think at some point Mike Brown has to tell him to chill out with the attitude until he performs? He makes the entire organzation look terrible.

Hopefully. A guy I work with has season tickets behind the Cavs bench and says Jones runs it on Mike Brown.

Brown, at least to this point, has been far too much of a players coach in my view, and has looked overmatched. Its masked somewhat by Bron bailing him out, and a weak start to the schedule.

Not impressed so far with MB ...

Seems to be fitting in with Doug Collins role with the Bulls before Jackson came in and turned it around. For a defensive guy, I sure haven't seen much of an improvement from the Cavs at that end of the floor.

http://www.82games.com/simmons.htm

Link to a great column, which exposes the Cavs as the worst defensive team in the league in the last 5 minutes of games.

If you've never been there, 82games.com is an amazing website with great statistic sets ... including a cool +/- stat that gives individual totals by player as to how well their teams perform when they are on the floor.

I'd really like to see Jackson get some PT. Donyell has been a lot streakier than advertised, and with Jones in this long funk we deperately need someone to step up to at least keep the D honest.

MB needs to tell Luke not to worry about being pulled immediately after a screw up and just give the kid 15-20 minutes a night to try and spark something.

I just found 82games.com today (thanks Sports Guy). Amazing information.

Oasis - I agree. Isn't he the closest thing to Hughes on the roster? He goes to the basket, at leasts provide an effort on D, and is a shooter. Damon Jones does one of those things, and he is not making any shots. Give Luke a shot!

I thought Mike Brown was brought in to correct this problem?
