Hey, I clicked on a thread and the post actually came up!

I don't think DQ getting cut is a big surprise. Hope they can re-sign him, but his best years (being what they were) are probably behind him.

Another hole though... sigh.

Ain't coming back. DQ no longer a Brown. Probably the best thing for him.

Meh. No tears here. Too slow and not much of an impact player. Of course over on .bomb the whiners are out about high character BS.

Next up, the rending of garments over losing Ward. Yawn.
I met my Spergon Wynn's mom once in a bar in Houston. It was a little awkward.

Well, this appears to be the only thread working, so everything goes in here now.

The Browns will be unable to fuck up with their 1st pick. Here are guys who will be good NFL players- Watkins, Clowney, Robinson, Donald, and Evans. There is a legitimate chance Teddy B falls to the Browns- which no one would have thunk 4 months ago.

I am an unabashed homer for Dri Archer. Need that cat in Brown and Orange. 3rd round.

Sorry DQ, time waits for no man. Overrated as far as I am concerned- he was ok.

Wasn't his nickname "Nyquil Jackson" his first two years?

Whatever. He was a guy. He wasn't a bad guy. Just a guy.

He can be replaced.

He was never able to make the transition to the 3-4, his best years with the Browns where the ones we ran a 4-3. So if he signs with a 4-3 team this probibly ends up being a win-win for both parties.

The DQ hole hasn't hasn't appreciably grown with him gone as compared to size of the hole while he was here. It created a roster spot that must be filled, not a hole IMO. Mediocrity on this shitty team sometimes has us overstating the importance of the mediocre player.

Such will be the case when Ward goes and when Robertson goes and when Schwartz goes, etc.

They're burning it down. All of it. Again. There's very little of value in the house and the few things that are (Haden, Gordon, Thomas, Cameron, etc) are fireproof this time.

While he wasn't all that, I think that Craig Robertson proved that he can't be replaced by just some schmoe off the street. Was hoping he could hang on one more year so they only have to acquire ONE ILB that's an improvement to him this offseason.

Now, on D alone, you need 2 ILB, 1 CB, 2 Safeties, and probably still a legit pass rush threat. Ick.

A ILB in the 3-4 has to be able to drop back into coverage. With the OLBs its a nice to have ability, but their primary concern is the pass rush. I dont think Krugs is good enough against the pass to be considered a long term answer at ILB.

And possibly Rubin?

I disagree with that move, but I also won't be attending any games this year, so whateves.

I thought the DL was coming along nicely, and Rubin is a big piece of that IMO.

Yep. I've seen speculation of moving TJ up to ILB, but that just leaves a hole at Safety (provided he re-signs at all).

Wait, I thought the ILB nerds to drop into coverage? T J Ward can cover people? Since when ? :lmfao:

Heh, fair point. For ILB's league wide, he would probably be average at that. Less so for a Safety.

TJ plays 8-12 games a year as it is, lining up occasional shots on little guys and hitting TEs late in the end zone after they've scored.

Asking him to hit bigger backs and receivers with less of a head start seems to me to be a recipe for disaster. For him and us.
