2nd Annual Weber Cup Event (Yours Truly will be defending his title)

NL Hold 'em tourney. 2pm start.

The Weber Avenue "garage" hosts Wickliffe's longest running Thursday Night Hold 'Em league and is home to the area's hottest action and most player-friendly amenities. Voted Facility of the Year two years running, Weber Ave caters to the discerning player by providing:

$2k chips, blinds start at 10/20 and go up nominally every 21 minutes (don't ask). Plenty of play with chip stacks and blinds.

Buy in- $35 + $5 (which gets you beer, water, pop, pizza, various pretzel/chips/etc).

Seating available for 24. 10 are in already.

Cash games after (there will be a minimal rake of $1 or so per pot if there is a deficit for food/bevergages but after the food/beer is paid for it's rake-free poker).

Cash games will begin when enough tournament players are eliminated to start one. Typically 1/2nl and 1/2 limit with kill. If people want to play higher we can accomodate that request.

Cheap, inexpensive and enjoyable. No one gets hurt too bad at these tournies and cash games.

Dealers are provided so you can sit back, relax, have a few beers and play some cards.

You might also be privy to a few of Lead's afternoon/evening college football picks which could pay for the tournament, cash game losses and gas used to get there.

I'd suggest October 18. The only notable games are OSU-MSU (notable for us only), Oklahoma-Kansas, and Texas-Missouri. Seems like we wouldn't miss a lot that day playing cards.

The best game that week outside of Texas-Missouri is on Thursday and that's BYU-TCU.

The 11th is my birthday, doubtful that I'll make that one.

The 25th has a slew of gems. Illinois-Wiscy, LSU-Georgia, Texas Tech-Kansas, Oregon-Arizona St., Penn St.-Ohio St.

Oh no. She allows us that opportunity pretty much all the time. Swerb and Pipe are just too busy for us. I don't have the time or energy to devote to finding a date that works for those guys. And to be honest, I'm just not as into the game enough to care.

November 28th is the date. That's the day after Thanksgiving. It'll be at at the Weber Ave facility where we can accomodate up to 24 players.

$35 + $5(pizza, beer, pop, water). We'll rake the cash games afterward to make up any difference in costs. All of that $35 per player is paid out plus a nice trophy to commemorate the event.

If you're in I need to know via PM as soon as possible.

NL Hold'em tourney. Very good blind structure that allows for plenty of play (2k in chips w/20 min blinds starting at 10/20, 15/30, 20/40, 25/50 and upward).

Honestly, you're better off going to Mountaineer and sitting in the 1-2 NL 75min-300max cash game. Plop down with 200-250 and you'll be up over 5 in no time. Much better chance at making some money than in the tourney. So many fish up at Mountaineer that it's pathetic.

I'll be heading there just after Christmas for a day or two. Pound out an 8-10 hour session and head back.
