Beignets from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans

Once a month, Nat. I work about 25 minutes West of NOLA and once a month we have a planning meeting at the corporate office downtown. Routine is we get downtown an hour before the meeting, get a half dozen and a cup of coffee and go through our slides before the meeting.

I usually roll into the meeting room 5 minutes late with enough white powder on my shirt collar to keep people wondering. :lol:

The real deal moved to Mentor right across from Points East. The place still there is NOT Kuhar's. Don't trust the menu mswerb. Do the ride to Mentor for the schnitzel dinner and you'll thank me. And it's just like $6 on Wednesdays.

If you see anyone in there that doesn't look they could play for a Ukrainian soccer team or have given birth to someone who could then run away. :lol:

2 big cutlets, mashed potateos and gravy, veggies, a salad and bread.

Nice...I get there every spring break for a few days, and that's my daily breakfast. Flew in for the Redskin game with friends last December, so got an extra dose that year. Great city!

You are a good man! That place is my favorite place to eat in the city. Sure, I really like some of the classy restaurants found downtown (and no, I am not talking about Olive Garden or Red Lobster) but something about that homemade cooking just does it for me.

As for me, since I just ate dinner, I would love either the Birthday Cake Remix (with Chocolate cake batter) from Coldstone or a Hot Fudge Sundae from Handel's.

A freshly just made Apple Fritter from Patterson's Fruit farm, Dutch Apple Pie, and Patterson's ice cold apple cider.....o wait, I am eating that right now and it is out of this frickin world as usual..I highly recommend going, take the kids to get some pumpkins and popcorn.
