My only complain is our announcers on STO, they aren't good.

Wait. So because the clarity of the Indians station (in your opinion) is below average, you won't watch the games? Not even listen to them? (which I have begun to do every now and then).
ESPN is better, and they should be. Comparing them to ESPN or Fox is a little ignorant, since national and local coverage is different. I always watch the home telecast even if it's on two channels, because I love the announcing when the play-by-play man is actually rooting for a team.

You guys keep mentioning the audio, but that is the least of my concerns. I want a crisp picture that does not look like it is being played in late November 1984 barely able to read the player names b/c the picture is so lame

You might want to get a new box then. My DirecTV box shows STO and FSN, Comcast, YES, etc all look pretty similar picturewise on their non-HD feeds. I've also seen the broadcasts from other teams and think STO's picture quality is just fine. Looks just as good as ESPN's non-HD feed too. Problem is that DirecTV doesn't pick up all of the STO HD broadcasts whereas ESPN and YES are almost always available in HD.

The box has nothing to do with it. I have already mentioned at least 2 other times that other local broadcasts do not have the same problem.
It is a 2nd rate production. Time to spend some money on equipment that was made after 1986.

Well, you're better than half of the local media. Nice piece by T today by the way, kind of ironic the news-herald ran a similar piece........ F Underwood
