The Quarry (Canton golf course)

Anyone happen to catch the latest edition of Tee It Up Ohio on STO?

They were out at a new place, in Canton, called "The Quarry". Carved out of an actual quarry. Best outside deck I've ever seen. Hold like 200 people, outdoor bar, overlooks 18 ... which is an amazing hole.

I gotta get out to this place.

I've heard a ton of good things about that place.

This is the one I want to get to at some point this season.

Unbelievable.

Any hole on the back nine could be any other course's signature hole.

The course kicked our butts (Swerb, Cous, Nick Allburn, and me), but it was fun.

Need to play it a couple of times to learn the best way to course manage it.

This place was amazing.

I would immediately put in in my top five NE OH courses you can play with Little Mountain, Boulder Creek, Fowlers Mill, and Avalon Lakes. Probably at the top of that list.

Top notch from start to finish. Just $58 to ride 18 on a Saturday (screaming deal for the level of course). That includes free range balls. They also stock your cart with crackers and a bottled water, a nice touch. Staff there was friendly, attentive, and the customer service was superb.

Played the back nine first. Good god. Hands down, the most visually impressive nine holes I've played in my life. Every hole just blows you away. Dramatic elevation changes, beautiful scenery ... and boy, what a challenge.

Deck is fantastic as well. Overlooks 18 and massive. Great service. Food was excellent.

Could not have been more impressed. We have a new local gem. Do yourself a favor and find a way to get out there this year.
