I was curious to see how many people in here are trying to kill time in the NFL offseason by betting on MLB games (bodog, USbets, etc)....I think it would be cool if we could start a continious thread where we can post our daily picks, explanations, Pick of Day, etc. I'll be back on here before 7pm to post some games.

In all honesty I think baseball is the toughest sport to bet and make a profit.

I think I've said this before, but I used to have a handicapping website. It only lasted a year, because I was 16 and definitely not mature enough to handle more money than I should of made off that siet. In fact, it definitely contributed to my terrible gambling problem, haha.

I was really solid at totals, started off by going 12-0 on "signature plays" on a large message board and built a nice database of customers. Then I started doing sides and lost an AMAZING 14 consecutive days. So, yea, I probably shouldn't post my losers here.

I generally take two breaks a year from betting. In Feb, after football, and before we get into the end of college basketball conference play. And after the baseball All-Star break until football starts.

But even when I am betting, I go in spurts, especially with baseball. There will be weeks I only play 3-4 games, and then some days where I'll make 3-4 plays. Never radical amounts, all of them in the $20-$100 range.

Just cashed out $700 from my account (nice run, pre-All Star break), which puts me down $300 on the year in baseball. The plan is to shut it down until September and spend a little more god damn time with my family as opposed to watching the MLB Package every night.

And the over of 8.5 with Paul Byrd on the hill. :lol:

I think the over/under is for total runs but it may be on HRs given up by Byrd.

Well, i started with $20 in my bodog account and just did $5 single bets and an occasional 3 team parlay....now have $100. I know im not betting big or anything, but its still fun winning some money to use for NFL bets.

Im on the LA Angels (-1.5) today.
