I have directv and the Tribe game tonight has yet to show up in the program guide for channel 96. I know I'm in the spot beam to get 96 because I was able to see the HD cavs games from FSN Ohio.

Is the game showing up in anyone's guide?

This is the directv response I just recieved when asked why it's not showing up...

"Our records show that Chicago White Sox at Cleveland Indians will be shown on channel 657 SportsTime Ohio. There is no information about broadcasting it in HD yet."

What's that supposed to mean?

Probably just a programming guide screwup. They broadcast all their home games in HD.

Links ... from my STO guy:

It was an error in their program guide. DirecTV has confirmed that tonight’s game will be available in HD on channel 96 in the Cleveland DMA. It should be showing up on the guide shortly.

I must say STO-->HD is really really nice. When I watch it on my 36" Flat Panel; I think I'm there and its in primetime!

STO is impressing me lately!

Yes, as we all know, the quality of the HD picture varies from channel to channel.

STO's HD feed is pretty damn good.

Man, I doubt Charleston, SC is in the beam. I guess I am just glad that MLB and DirecTV were able to get that Xtra Innings things done in time for the beginning of the season. Due to anti-trust stuff, the senate was giving them a hard time about the proposed exclusive deal and was essentially road blocking it.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.
