STO channel #

What is the deal with STO being channel 179, I cant get that station on my t.v. in my bedroom it does not have a cable box.
Is there no channel in double digits they could have assigned? For God's
sake that tool Les Levine gets channel 15 for Time Warner, WTF?

If you have Time Warner, STO is also on Channel 17.

It used to be Adelphia recently switched over to time warner, I will give 17 another look. Thanks for the info. I do believe I looked through all of those channels...but I could be wrong. I will double check tonight immediately when I get home. That will certainly help on the west coast swings when I hit the sack "early".

Yeah, I have Time Warner.....STO is Channel 17 and 179 for me. Les Levine's show is on Channel 15.

It worked!
That is huge, thanks for the bail out there. I love these forums... for some reason I just thought it was 179 because if you look on the guide it lists channel 17 as community TV, not STO.

Yeah, it lists it like that on my guide too for Channel 17. Funny thing is, I get Channel 17...but don't get channel 179 (says I need to add programming package to get it).

The weird thing about channel 17 is not only is it not listed as STO (as stated above), but it only comes in as STO for part of the day. Sometimes it is STO, but during the morning hours and late at night its back to the community TV ads that it used to be.

I only get 179 on one tv in my house, and sometimes when I'm in the back I want to check out to see what's on and channel 17 doesn't even give me the option.

Docstank; there is a site called www.sportstimeohio.com which lists all the cable outlets/towns/channels which they are available on---that should help a lot! :!:

I must say, STO->HD is awesome!

That's exactly right for us cool TimeWarner Akron subscribers. Funny thing is I still check channel 23 for STO before I remember that it's now on 76.
