And to think I'll be protecting 5 guys in the Top 20 for my team next year in Vlad, Tex, Bay, Johan, and Peavy.

I smell an Orange County Riot dynasty in the making.

I'm fired up for that draft Crowley, I have a host of talented keepers as well.

Also, just got my 1st baseball issue copy of "Fantasy Sports" magazine in the mail today.

I know Carlos Beltran was a huge disappointment last year, but I have never seen someone fall from fantasy grace like that in one season! I think he is a guy to watch in spring ball, and could be a steal in the second or third round.

Hey, is there a spot open in that league? I haven't done fantasy baseball before (which I know is a surprise to some)....and am thinking about getting into a league this year.

Or, Swerb, you starting a league on here? Maybe a Just For Shits And Giggles type league?

Cool, thanks.

Being my first time, as long as the entry fee isn't too high, I am very interested. I'm not cheap by any means, but I ain't stupid either as I know I'm pretty much donating my money. :D

As the resident champ of CSBA league, I must say it is the best league I've probably been a part of. There wasn't quite enough shit talking last year, but that is just a personal preference. I guess me running away with it with over a month left had something to do with that.

Hopefully we'll get some chatter going about the keepers we are all planning on so we can start putting our draft boards together. It will be interesting to see which players end up hitting the market.

As of right now, I'm keeping:
Santana, J
Peavy, J
Pettitte, A
Guerrero, V
Teixiera, M
Bay, J
Giles, M.

That 8th spot is going to be a tough one, but the rest are pretty much no-brainers.

There's no way I'll be able to hit on every FA pitcher pick up like I did last year with Capuano, Lackey, and Haren once they were on my team. Matt Cain in the late stages didn't hurt either.

Should be another competitive year. I'm really looking forward to winning, I mean COMPETING, again.

I miss my little waving hi smiley.

If there is enough interest on this board, I would be interested in donating...err, playing.
