Why can't I add a new avatar to my profile, every time I try to, an error is posted.
Also, the time has not been changed since daylight savings.

2 ways Swerb, either users can go into their profile and change the timezone to GMT -4 hours or you can adjust it in the admin panel

I did that ... its not registering.

Then just have the users do it themselves. I adjusted mine and the time is right on. :mrgreen:

One of two things is happening Goo.

1. You are not checking the "remember me" box
2. Your PC does not remember cookies

Swerbs i know for a fax that is it. Because my computer at work and at home have this same problem. And when i go to other forum I'm a member of i don't encounter this problem. Also mmonast is encountering that same problem. Just a heads up.

Swerb - Can you change the sub-head under my name. Sparty Junkie doesnt relate well in this forum. Can you replace it with "Awaiting 1st Championship".

Some of you are buckeye fans and had the feeling of a championship. Being a MSU and Cleveland sports fan i havent had much luck. I went to MSU starting in 2001. I dont count the MSU basketball championship in 2000 because i wasn't truly a fan yet. I rooted for them but the team wasn't my own till i was a student.

Ok, I give uo. I have followed all other instructions including those linked on this site, even set up an account on photobucket to link the url, all without success. So here is the pic Swerb.

Edited to add: The pic is 100 x 100 pixs and takes up 16KB of disk space. Not sure what the issue is with uploading.

it seems like too much work to make you upload every person's avatar, but alas error messages like to pop up for me as well...

I have a SI grady pic that i've already cropped and such to 194 pixles or so on my pc, is there a way to get that up?

Mayhem, post it in here or email it to me at richswerb@gmail.com.

The majority of people have no problem loading them. I'll be honest in saying that I'm not sure why it doesn't take for some people.

That said, it takes me about 30 seconds to save it, host it, and load it for people. I don't mind.

I think the issue is with uploading it from your PC to the site database as opposed to just copying and pasting an internet link that it can copy it from. I've never had it work when I've tried to upload, but I just host it on ImageShack or some other hosting service and then paste the direct link.

I know this is isn't rocket science or anything, but for the life of me I can't get the avater to display. I get the same errors mentioned above and then all I get is the box with the red 'x'...

The link Swerb mentioned does not work anymore. Any thoughts? Can I still email it to have it setup?
